"I talked about Desmond and myself running down that sideline to victory against you know who, and you know what, you guys haven't experienced that feeling very much against that school," Woodson said, addressing a senior class that didn't experience a win over the Buckeyes. "It hurts my heart, it really does.

"But I'm telling you here today, 212 days from now, your Michigan Wolverines team will go down to Columbus, march into that stadium and we will beat you know who to bring back that familiar feeling of victory back to The University of Michigan again," he said to a roar of applause from the audience.

11 Warriors tweeted yesterday about how they had 5 players drafted and we had none, and how bad that made us look. And yet, how close were we to beating them? Just wait until our talent and experience are on their level, or at least much closer to it.

Did you happen to look at the replies to that tweet? It's funny how obsessed they are with Michigan. Michigan had what like 3 players enter the draft this year? They failed to realize that 97% of the team is back this year. We also have true play maker at QB. They don't understand how good Michigan will be.

I work with the biggest Ohio State fan, my boss is a president club season ticket holder, I hear this shit all of the time. They fail to realize we are only 3 years removed for Rich Rod and Hoke and we still were 1 halfway decent QB away for beating them the past 2 years. They also don't understand the ammount of Talent Urbz had his first season at OSU. It's not even worth the arguement with them.

It’s not worth the argument because there’s nothing to argue yet. We had 11 guys drafted last year and still didn’t get the job done when OSU had the youngest team in the country. You can’t say we lost because we were young when they were in our shoes the year before and beat us. You can’t argue talent when you have the most guys picked in the NFL draft. You can’t argue that our Q.B. was hurt when theirs got hurt too and the backup came in and beat us. You have to sit back and take it with a smile because you know the difference has been the quarterback and this year we will finally have the advantage at the most important position on the field. I won’t be surprised if we not only beat them, but completely embarrass them this year. Our defense is elite, skilled positions are elite, and if we can just get above average play from the offensive line (we now have the coach to get them there) we will be playing for a national championship next season.

Yep. Even Ramzy got in on the poorly thought out jokes when he tweeted about Warinner having a recruiting poster with OSU players on it. It's like, is it really that funny for a former position coach who's considered elite to be using success at YOUR program to recruit against you, at your arch rival? They don't think much.

Faith....baby. Gotta have faith. I love Woodson and his guarantee will mean something to those players. We’re gonna get it done.

I was at the 1995 and 1997 games. Woodson was probably the best player I have watched live in any sport. Unfortunately Urban is not John Cooper.

He didn’t say who he was rooting for. He’s probably still pissed about Woodson leading the boys to victory in those games. I was at MSU for the 1997 game - whole stadium went quiet after the Woodson sideline pick - neither the MSU team not crowd ever recovered. That was fantastic. That game and the PSU game may be my favorite two games of all time.

Oh boy. for the sake of this blog and the entire fan base I hope he’s right. Because if not Harbaugh might start looking elsewhere if the fan base turns on him. Please keep 2018 magic going!

This was the MGoDaughter's commencement and I thought Woodson did a nice job speaking today. He has a quiet confidence and got some good jabs in at OSU and Ohio generally ("no politics or anything, but we're going to build a big beautiful wall along our southern border with Ohio to keep those people out...oh wait, that would keep people like Desmond and me from getting out of there and coming here...so never mind."). My wife and I went to the Harbaugh "guarantee" game in Columbus in 1986 and just exchanged knowing looks when Woodson said we'd win. Little different when your starting QB guarantees a win than when a former player does, but he seemed to be pretty sure of it. Coming on the news of Patterson's eligibility, it was definitely a confidence builder.
