Will ESPN Gameday come to the Michigan vs. OSU game? Sign ideas?
November 7th, 2023 at 6:23 AM ^
Hound and besmirch them. Ruin all they have built and achieved. It’s a popular approach I hear.
November 7th, 2023 at 8:37 AM ^
Maybe they can broadcast live from Columbus?
November 7th, 2023 at 12:26 AM ^
Thamel got denied and we all know why: ethics.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:28 AM ^
I want to see a single sign, from the Ann Arbor police department:
"Space reserved for Fox Sports gameday."
No ESPN gameday, EVER AGAIN.

I stole this sign.

Find Out
November 7th, 2023 at 12:38 AM ^
Do it for Connor.
Santa says Ryan and Pete are on the naughty list.
Ryan Day stands when he wipes.
Pete, stop trying to make fetch happen.
November 7th, 2023 at 1:16 AM ^
Wait. You’re NOT supposed to stand when you wipe? What, just smear it around your grundel?
November 7th, 2023 at 12:41 AM ^
The North remembers.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:41 AM ^
Here's one for Saturday for Big Noon Kickoff:
Stop scouting us Urban
November 7th, 2023 at 12:45 AM ^
The only way that crew should be allowed anywhere near A2 should be if they present a 24-karat apology every Gameday between now and then which takes up an entire segment.
They burned the bridge. They want back across the river they have some serious begging to do.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:46 AM ^
Looks like the game is on Fox and Big Noon kickoff will be there. Maybe Michigan can ban ESPN.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:50 AM ^
Let Game Day come but only allocate them space right behind Big Noon Kickoff.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:55 AM ^
M owns Ohio
and
Big Noon owns Game Day
November 7th, 2023 at 12:50 AM ^
In all seriousness, who at UofM is in charge of film crews, etc. posting up on campus? If Michigan really wanted to ban ESPN from posting up shop, is it as simple as someone saying "kick rocks"?
November 7th, 2023 at 12:55 AM ^
I have seen every single Game Day episode when they were at Michigan and they were always on University property somewhere.
I suppose the University could deny them the space, but I guess they could go somewhere else like the Arborland parking lot.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:57 AM ^
I doubt they will come. Too chicken
November 7th, 2023 at 1:00 AM ^
Santa Ono should not allow them on University property.
November 7th, 2023 at 6:12 AM ^
I thought they set up at Pioneer for The Game in ‘21.
November 7th, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
Back in the 90's, they would often set up on the Ann Arbor Golf & Outing course. I caught them there in person a few times.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:53 AM ^
A picture of a rat with Cryin' Dyejob's head on it.
Probably not a good idea for GameDay to come. The situation is already going to be lava hot. The last thing we need is a riot when Herbie's adopted father foolishly puts on a Brutus head because he's been told by his bosses he can't come back for another GD season if he doesn't do something to spite all the Michigan fans.
November 7th, 2023 at 12:56 AM ^
Everyone should show up with stolen signs. Stop signs, street signs, parking signs, bathroom signs, Ric Flair signs, etc. Embrace the villain role.
November 7th, 2023 at 1:01 AM ^
WE ARE
THE
VAST
NETWORK
November 7th, 2023 at 1:12 AM ^
THE VAST NETWORK IS FOX not espn
November 7th, 2023 at 1:04 AM ^
The gangster move would be to say “nope” to game day on campus unless they replace McAfee with Brian that day.
November 7th, 2023 at 8:33 AM ^
Brian should be the guest picker
November 7th, 2023 at 9:34 AM ^
Brian is too smart to appear on game day. Aside from Desmond, they are complete intellectual turds.
November 7th, 2023 at 1:11 AM ^
If I were Michigan, I would refuse to allow them on campus to cover ANY sporting event until a formal apology is issued.
November 7th, 2023 at 1:17 AM ^
I would go with this one:
“Steal This Sign” [picture of a maize n blue hand giving them the finger]
November 7th, 2023 at 8:34 AM ^
I’ve been trying to get someone to make that act-shirt since this started.
November 7th, 2023 at 1:19 AM ^
This stolen sign isn’t worth 22 points
November 7th, 2023 at 1:20 AM ^
Or maybe a winged Darth Vader helmet to let them know that since we are being vilified no matter what the facts say, that we will happily embrace the dark side.
November 7th, 2023 at 1:20 AM ^
Snitches get stitches
November 7th, 2023 at 1:22 AM ^
Football and signal intelligence that’s what MI does!
November 7th, 2023 at 1:36 AM ^
Catch phrase from comedian Bill Engvall line: "Here's your sign."
November 7th, 2023 at 7:39 AM ^
Said in such an affirming way.
November 7th, 2023 at 3:35 AM ^
I would love for them to come and then we all boycott. They're just sitting there with absolutely nobody around them.
November 7th, 2023 at 5:43 AM ^
This is my favorite suggestion. We could never pull it off, people are drawn to cameras and spectacles, but man. The optics of those clowns sitting by themselves with (at best) some utterly clueless grad students walking to Hatchet in the background would be awesome.
November 7th, 2023 at 8:02 AM ^
Then people turn to Big Noon Kickoff and expect to see the same thing and it is completely PACKED full of people.
November 7th, 2023 at 8:21 AM ^
Some rich alumni could accomplish this by giving out money at the entrance to Big Noon Kickoff.
November 7th, 2023 at 8:22 AM ^
Just have only one guy turn up with a sign that says "TURN TO BIG NOON KICKOFF".
November 7th, 2023 at 8:34 AM ^
Unfortunately the buckeye fans would show and that would be worse.
November 7th, 2023 at 9:36 AM ^
Sadly, the bucknuts would fill it in then. So no, that won't work.
November 7th, 2023 at 4:16 AM ^
"Came for the click bait. Stayed for the propaganda." [with espn logo on it]
"ESPN - Serving propaganda. Anytime. Anywhere."
"It's Thamel Time" [preferably with picture of MC Hammer with Thamel's face on it]
"Hey, gorgeous, what's your sign?"
November 7th, 2023 at 4:42 AM ^
Don’t shit on Wikipedia man esp by connecting it to fucking Pete thamel
November 7th, 2023 at 6:41 AM ^
"Thamel was banned from editing Wikipedia" would be more appropriate and funnier, especially if you know how deliberative Wikipedians are.
November 7th, 2023 at 4:52 AM ^
The heated nature of the rivalry fanned by inflammatory and defamatory reporting creates a serious incident risk. It diverts and puts local security staff at elevated risk, a risk that is completely unnecessary.
UM should firmly deny ESPN any Gameday presence on campus. Ann Arbor should treat them as a public nuisance and not permit them. Nothing good can come from ESPN's presence this year.
