How about this answer: The recruits that follow down the road in the near future, in part because of the caliber player Gary will be. We're on the way to becoming good again, I hope, and Gary will hopefully be a big part of that and help to draw in other huge gets in recruiting the over the next few years.

With the receivers we have coming back next year, a playmaker @ slot receiver could make a huge difference.

Impossible to choose with so much talent. I will go with Chris Evans as RB/WR because he is under the radar. I think Carlo will be a team leader. Kareem will shut the mouths of his critics. Bredeson is headed to the NFL(lock). AW, Hell, I can't choose. What a great choice this is. You can't be wrong. YEEEEEEEEESSS!!!

For me
February 3rd, 2016 at 5:30 PM ^
I'm split between Hudson and Long. I really am high on Long as a corner and I know we will need him big time in 2017. Really same thing goes for Hudson. We are going to be hurting at safety which will hurt us with options at nickel. If Hudson can factor in there and on the return teams it would be huge.

But seriously Kekoa Crawford. Why? Because he changed his name. Bear with me.
It's easy to forget that these are kids, going off to college for the first time. The first big reminder of that I got this year was when Rashan Gary's mom was surprised by the weather in California. Like, oh, these aren't all already jaded people who have been everywhere and seen everything. But the second was Crawford's name change. He is headed out of the house and off to college, where he gets to reinvent himself, and we get to watch it.
So that's who I'm most excited about.

I'm excited for Hill/Long to take away the passing game, once Gary takes away the running game.

Asiasi! Looks ready to play right now!

Tie between Hudson, Hill, and Long for me, I think they are going to be stalwarts of the secondary going forward and important pieces of the 2017 defense.
February 3rd, 2016 at 5:39 PM ^
I'll break it down into offense and defense:
Offense: Ahmir Mitchell- I love having tall and strong receivers.
Defense: David Long/Levert Hill- This one was tough for me. They both look to be great and I can't wait to see them both out there in a few years. WIth that said, if I had to pick one I would have to go with David long.
I also think Eubanks will be the best TE out of this group when it is all said and done. I think that he is going to be a beast.

Given the state of the OL, these 2 guys have to be "hits" and not misses. It will be interesting to see if Spanellis can excel at his size. If he's a hit, then we'll be power running the ball down everyone's throats with him and Onwenu. I look forward to that.

Same two for me. Need the road pavers to get back to the ground and pound. Opens up everything else.

Tough call with so many outstanding options.
But for some reason, Asiasi... I'm not even sure why though, just something about that kid.
February 3rd, 2016 at 5:43 PM ^
He has great hands and when he makes a pick he is a threat to make it a pick 6. True bump and run CB that might be a factor in all 3 phases.

I love the way Harbaigh uses the Tight Ends and can't wait to see what he does with one this talented out of high school.
February 3rd, 2016 at 6:09 PM ^
Next year Wheatley, Eubanks, McKeon, and Asiasi will be competing to be the #4 tight end on the team. And that guy will still get a chance to see the field and make plays.
When you factor in Harbaugh's ability to get the most out of guys (Williams finally catching balls this year, Houma finally carrying the rock, Chesson scoring on end arounds and kickoffs rather than watching Funchess and Norfleet do it unsuccessfully, etc.), you get people excited and seeing potential in all of these guys.

Khaleke Hudson, followed closely by Onwenu. But really, the whole class is loaded.
February 3rd, 2016 at 5:56 PM ^
Onwenu, Long, Bush.
So excited we got some top athletes out of CA/FL, and apparently we now own NJ. Great to get two top in-state guys.
Our roster is suddenly filled wih size and speed!

Yes, I'm very surprised he hasn't received more love in this thread. He could be our starting QB for 3 years from 2018-20 and lead us back to the playoffs (I'm predicting we make it in '16 but have some growing pains in '17).

D) All of the above
I think this class is fantastic and it really seems to me like a lot of these guys will make significant on-field contributions over the next couple years. If I HAD to pick just one, I would probably go with LaVert Hill because a Jourdan Lewis redux seems like a splendid idea.
February 3rd, 2016 at 6:04 PM ^
My bet is that it is Devin.
/this way I have 3 chances of being right!
February 3rd, 2016 at 6:04 PM ^
Soooo many. This class is large and talented.
Onewnu is so large and so good. I can't imagine another guard being better.
Khaleke Hudson will replace Peppers well.
Peters will be a high NFL pick and known as another great Hargaugh QB

Defense is definitely Carlo Kemp. Harbaugh did a BACKFLIP when he committed!! I love guys who can get pressure off the edge, run sideline to sideline, and just flat out hit. Carlo is my man.
Offense is easy: Ahmir Mitchell. 6'3''. Naturally athletic. WR, KR, PR. He knows how to attack the ball at the highest point. Can you say Braylon 2.0!!??
Can't wait to see this entire class grow and evolve into MEN under Jim Harbaugh!

Hudson's film was supposed to have wow-factor athleticism, and it did. Then I watched some on Long and thought he was even more athletic, definitely faster than Hudson.
