When I was in middle school (still too damn old to be this damn stupid)... I was riding a Mongoose scooter around the neighborhood while chewing on a broken piece of plastic (the bottom piece of a coat hanger that broke - don't ask why, I don't know why).
I wasn't paying enough attention while riding around and hit a pothole. My head went down and the plastic I was chewing on hit the handle bars and jabbed into my throat under my right tonsil. I pulled it out and threw it, just sort of in shock, and walked home with my mangled scooter.
When I got to the hospital later to have it stitched up the doc told me how lucky I had been. Apparently, I came within a fraction of an inch of opening up my carotid with that coat hanger.
If Jay Tufele winds up @ Michigan... Having him, Solomon, Paea, Vilain, CMH, would be one helluva DL haul for 2017. Plus could get 1 or 2 of Hudson and the few others who are considering. Continued DL dominance sounds good.
Agreed! I was given a Songs you Know by Heart CD and listened to it until it was ruined. Then decided I needed to broaden my Buffett and took some birthday money to the record store and picked it up when my Dad was browsing for some King Crimson albums he didn't already own.
A buddy flipped me a link to a post on here he thought I'd find funny. He vastly underestimated how much I would enjoy this place. One click and I was through the wormhole.
I really like using a DE safety razor. It is way cheaper ($35-65 initial investment, then probably $5/year on blades). It can kind of slow down the process so I don't know if I'd suggest it to someone who was perpetually in a rush while shaving.
I took the route of making it a somewhat cathartic ritual (I shave 3x weekly) where I prep a hot towel and use a badger brush to whip up a good lather on my shave soap (Proraso w/ Eucalyptus & Menthol is my favorite). So on and so forth.
Another consideration with this though, is that it can take some time to find your preferred brand/style of blade. I like the Feather blades, but that was only the 10th or 12th type I tried.
I'm a fan of the House of Marley earbuds (their lower cost sets are pretty decent for the price). For on/over ears I'm not super familiar with their offerings since I generally only use headphones for exercise an have always preferred earbuds for that.
Yep. It was the initial reaction I had to them and it hasn't changed since. But really the thought of abused animals makes me really sad on its own, so I suppose it is just that the commercial brings those thoughts to the forefront.
Those damned Sarah McLachlan abused animal commercials. If I'm not fast enough to change the channel I run the legitimate risk of writing a check for my bank balance mailing it away in a puddle of sadness.
Right now I have been all about Smooth Sailing by Leon Bridges (or really any of his songs).
But as all-time driving music, I am not sure I have ever enjoyed listening to anything loudly and with the windows down moreso than the AWB album by Average White Band.
In terms of pancake quality I strongly disagree. In terms of entertainment from watching drunks get into 3AM parking lot fights, however, the Waffle House is orders of magnitude better than my Grandma's house.
A high school football game I played in as a senior. We were playing against the cross-town rivals in the last regular season game of the year and we were fired up. They came out and punched us in the mouth getting an early 14-3 lead in the 1st quarter. But after that we woke up and got our shit together. We walked out of there with a 42-14 win and a lot of pride. And I (as an exceedingly undersized OL) had a great game. I managed to rack up 8 pancakes and a couple new names on my not-going-to-send-me-a-Christmas-card list.
But he was looking at schools in huge recruiting pools that don't have a lot of in-state competition for the recruits. Miami has to compete with UF and FSU even if they are in other parts of the state.
I think this class is fantastic and it really seems to me like a lot of these guys will make significant on-field contributions over the next couple years. If I HAD to pick just one, I would probably go with LaVert Hill because a Jourdan Lewis redux seems like a splendid idea.
Possible, but I would say unlikely. I think part of the reason he agreed to stay on as the D-line coach was because he liked the idea of still coaching but phasing down his responsibilities as a stepping-stone towards retirement.
"he’s still not going to be a prospect NFL teams trip over themselves for, but he’s about as good as a 5’10 corner gets at the college level. Even if he’s not targeted in the first few rounds, he’ll get a crack at the pros based on how awesome he’s been in college."
He's a likely 1st rd pick when he decides to go (thankfully he has said he intends to stay - hopefully that remains the case). I see Jason Verrett, who was a 1st rd pick, only better.

Friday night is all Oaks and Cokes.
I feel like there is no vote going on this year that could be more important than this.

This is easily the least satirical article The Onion has ever ran. It is spot on.

Also Mid Tenn beating MSU in the NCAA's is up for Best Upset. Do with that what you will.
I am 100% guilty of all of these except Ford's.
Grand Teton Nat'l Park. No question
All of the draft stock is literally 0 until after 3rd year. When, you know, they become eligible for the draft.
Juwanna Mann-Tunsil was a real star for Ole Miss this past season

I put my few dollars on write-in Oakland U (I am an alum) and now even they have raised more $ for this than Penn State or Rutgers.

Can't beat Grandma's pancakes. I could eat LITERALLY (figuratively) one million of them.
You are not wrong. *shrug-emoji*
Got my daily 3 votes in... (It is sort of absurd, but I have 3 separate emails that each correspond to their own ESPN login so I get 3 votes/day)
That's telekinesis, Kyle.

I am pretty sure phase 3 is profit. Phase 3 is always profit.

Yes. It's linked to a CJ Anderson (Denver RB) Instagram post.
Started off the season 1-6 then turned the corner and won 9 straight to take the title. And up $500 to boot!

I am cooling off on both my phone and laptop now. Did my part for the day.
They've gotta keep trying for an Oscar for Best Art Direction by sporting event cameraman. That is a category, right?
Agreed. Worth it on all days except tomorrow.

I am enjoying helping Rutgers vote on coaching options they probably don't have.
I like the idea of MSU double-losing Burbridge.

From his hudl film, it looks like he has good acceleration and really hits the hole with a head of steam. Much happy, many recruiting.
