The athletic department has done a pretty solid job of being in the news a ton the last few years for all the wrong reasons.

Good grief. Sometimes I feel like we can't have 24 hours of uninterrupted good vibes without stepping on the next upturned rake.

Hope this is nothing, and if it isn't, I hope it's dealt with swiftly and appropriately. Let's see if Warde is up to the task (in terms of the AD responsibility, regardless of police actions).

Probably used the computer to look into info he should not have access to like health records or even worse pulling some stalker stuff on co-workers.

Hopefully it's not even worse, like pedo or creepy shit.

i guess this could be a lot of different things, i can't think of any that are no big deal, and can think of some that are very bad indeed.

the story says a bunch of cops did a sting or something at his house. so whatever he did on the work computer seemingly warranted a raid at his home...

hopefully it's just downloading mp3s on napster or something

That certainly doesn't sound good, but it could be something fairly begnin. He could also just be innocent. It may be absurd to say this on the internet, but let's not rush to judgment.

Right. But what is worth hacking into if you are a football coach about to play a team that has a super predictable offense. You know their defense because their prior games are televised.

And would the police really get involved for trying to hack into TCU’s server (something a football coach would not know how to do)?

I agree he was probably trying to, or did, access something he really wasn’t supposed to. But what?

When everyone was still using telnet to access pine and I started using Eudora and figured out that it let you impersonate anyone's email easily no one seemed to care!
