If the CFP committee were smart, UM and OSU would be in ahead of both UW(Wisky not Washington) and PSU. But that's a big "if." Clearly, the best two teams in the conference are OSU and UM and I don't think it's close.

EDIT: Didn't wan't start yet another thread that will be deleted, but I found this amusing:

Nothing like a college kid calling out a coach for being immature. #HandleItWithClass Zach Smith.

The hash marks are all skewed and distorted. Michael Spath retweeted a photo from the sideline that gives the best view I have seen so far. It would be nice to see the photo credited to a photographer for the source.

Photos don't tell you anything because you have no idea *when* it was taken.  I find it hard to believe there is any photo that shows his exact forward progress position.

Video is the only way to tell, and there were really no shots going directly down the line.

after the game i saw the play from two angles: 1. from above and slighlty behind (like most of the pictures we have seen) and 2. from ground level behind the line of scrimmage.

they played them simultaneously.  barrett goes forward until he hits #88.  the ball actually hits 88 in the ass.  he immediately bounces backward.  88 continues to go forward.  i think that pic above is the best i have seen and clearly shows 88's ass still behind the first down and barret has already made contact with him.

i think it's proof he came up about a foot short.

The one issue with this view is that it is impossible to tell at what time this snapshot was taken. Was it taken at the point where his forward progress stopped or as he is getting pushed back? Trying to stay objective here, but that is the one piece of information that would need to be added here.

Ball is sort of hidden from line judges and other refs by tangle of bodies.

Maybe they had no way to know one way or the other given no clear view of the ball and live action speed.  So thge homer refs gave it to OSU.

To me the non-call on the obvious PI that forced M to kick a FG in the 2nd OT was obvious and indisputable.  Should have been first and goal Michigan.

I think it's crazy we're ranked BELOW wisky, but to say there's some large disparity between OSU/MICH > WIsconson is silly. We both beat them by a single TD.

On paper, Wisky has the better losses but not the better OOC win...Michigan has lost 2 of their last 3 games.

I'm fine with this...as much as I can be, anyway.

We need a loss by Clemson or Washington and a Penn State win...although if Oklahome wins Bedlam, I could see them sneaking in (although I think that Michigan would pass the eye test over Okalhoma and Penn State).

argument is stupid.  Just because we played our toughest games at the end of the year and Wisconsin played theirs at the beginning of the year doesn't mean they're "hotter" or that we lost something.  Order of games is arbitrary and should be considered in any streaks or trends to end the season.

I'm thinking Michigan needs at least 3 of Clemson, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Washington to lose next week in order for them to make the playoffs at this point. And Wisconsin probably is a must, no way does the playoff committee put 3 BIG teams in the playoffs.

It typically rolls like that, although we'll see at some point in the future - if it happens - when Alabama takes an inexplicable step back and goes 7-5 and yet several writers south of the Mason-Dixon line see no reason that this should keep them out of the Top 15, we shall see the theory tested, I imagine.

Well, even that likely wouldn't happen - the beat guys in the SEC can't all be stooges, can they? Hmmm....
