Too much me mentality. I thought listening to Stroud's comments after this years game he sounded alot of me me me. Also players talked about how much more laid back it was when Day took over. Urban ran a machine, like Saban. I don't know if the last 2 michigan teams could have beat Urban coached teams. Would have been interesting.
I didn't even watch the game but the box score says it all. Only 18 shots in the second half with 7 made. That's not good enough. Someone needs to become the trigger man on offense. There seems to alot of guys who defer, no one wants to be the alpha. HD can't be the alpha as the big man. Still time to sort it out. These next games will provide great experience for the B1G season.
sometimes young people retweet stuff without thoroughly reading and understanding it. I've done it, then looked at it again and went oh crap I didn't realize it came off like that, then deleted it.
I was told that no matter who UM loses to, the fans always want Harbaugh fired. And the guy is pretty right on with that assessment. The UM fan base is brutal. Then he reminded me that Urban lost like 7 games in 8 years and after every loss fans were calling for his head.
I think that social media, the get it now generation, and the playoff system has done a lot to concentrate the best players a very few schools. I also think that fan expectations as to what defines success has also changed. It used to be, try to win your conference and go and win your reward bowl game (Rose Bowl for Big Ten, Sugar Bowl for SEC etc..). If you did not win your conference you still got a decent bowl game to try and win. Now, anything less than making the CFP is viewed by most fans of big time schools as a disappointing season, and the other bowls are just shrugged off as exhibitions.
I miss recruiting from 20-25 years ago before message boards and social media when no one had any idea who was being recruited where unless they were a huge name or someone local. The team just rolled out new guys the next season and they were usually pretty good.
Look, that's not a bad thing. There are some people who remember this fantasy land where UM had 1 or 2 losses every year and won or challenged for national titles. That just has never been the case, and in this culture of kids and college football, probably will not change.
Surely the universities don't care what it takes to win at all costs. Look at how much money those programs bring in for their schools. Even the mediocre Michigan football program brings in tons of revenue for the school.
In the Gattis offense, the QB needs to be able to read and run when it is presented, and willing to do so. without the QB gashing the outside on keepers now and then, a lot of the offense does not seem to work well.
Look at a list of past national champs. In the mid 2000s the champions began to concentrate in a small group of schools. Why? I think it’s the instant gratification needs of today’s youth and the focus on the national title itself. The best players started going to only the best schools as opposed to spreading out like 20+ years ago. The playoff only made it worse. If you are a stud player and want to win a natty, where do you go? About 5 schools got a shot. It will only get worse.
Today’s young people want instant gratification, which is why the best players continue to go to the small handful of elite schools that challenge for the national championship every year. 20+ years ago it was so different especially with crowning a national champion, the best players tended to spread out to many schools.
So all we need to do is get the old fuckers to sign the bagman petition and the football department will start buying players? I didn’t realize that was the hold up.

Clark played 35 minutes. She didn't spend much time on the bench.
No, Juwan trying to take some focus off the NCAA picks.

Kreator is awesome
Day is a certified psychopath, but I am confident that if he could have shook hands he would have.
the ability to comment on individual plays within the UFR would be an awesome feature
How many yards would Michigan rush for if the QB was actually a running threat?
Don Brown - "we're gonna blitz on defense, we're gonna blitz on offense, we're gonna blitz everywhere! and no double teams, everyone man on man!"
him, Davison, and Geo have like 2 tours under their belts it seems like.
Fatts Russel - name winner
They clearly said on the broadcast UCLA only hangs championship banners
The Big Dick
and remember IU is without Penix now which I would assume makes them not nearly as good as they were.
Welcome to the new wave, when the going gets tough, run or quit.

that's a good one, made me LOL
Remember Panasiuk's cheap shot on Patterson last year that got him tossed? Pepperidge Farms remembers...
that one is not working either. is Mega Fat Baby CEO banned from this site?
I'd rather it be Greg Oden's doppelganger. anyone recall his full frontal pic?
I'm not proud of that stat

do you think UM should cut kids when they get here and don't live up to the fan's expectations?

Historically Michigan.

and that's all he's got to say about John Teske
it would be nice if they could just get their money's worth on some of those fouls, instead of a barley grazed call.

Strange that Don Brown came on board starting in the 2016 season.
How about he takes snaps from the seemingly never ending list of injured guys.
A point guard taller than 6’ would be nice too
We look completely lost on offense. I can’t even tell what we are trying to do. Jack up long shots or drive the lane is all we do.
It is possible some people have moral convictions. I have to assume not every player and their family is willing to take illegal benefits if offered.

Could not use wideouts today as we chose to get ball out quick to avoid pass rush. No time for deep routes to develop.
That's gold Jerry, pure gold!
The truest line in that whole write up:
"Ace: Yeah, as if there’s any chance they wouldn’t lead into the next game with “Jim Harbaugh is only 1-4 against Ohio State.” That’s also true."
Sadly it's going to take quite a few wins to shut up the talking heads and cooler pooper fans about the last 2 decades.
That is quite the stacked bracket there. I don't recall seeing that many big names in this tourney in years past.
Phenomenal Story, well done
Cmon, you all know that without all the injuries....
