It is basic help side defense. One issue is being 3rd game in 3 days you are slightly slower to rotate back. The nice think in the Tourney coming up is you get that day break.
I also think we could win it all if we get a certain means of officiating. If you look back at the season we struggled/lost to teams who played a very physical style of defense. It also was assisted by officials who had a let them play mentality. If officials call the game straight up we have a very very good shot at winning it all.
The issue I always had with the Big Ten is the lack of consistency among different officiating teams. Some call all the hand checking and bumping while some let all that happen. Michigan since Beilein has been here has been a flow team. If refs allow the hand checking and bumping Michigan is screwed because it disrupts Beilein’s offensive flow. Wisconsin, Iowa and Purdue have been the grind teams and they benefit from the “let them play” officiating. Problem is it makes for bad ugly basketball.
I agree with you. However, many times these fan sites get noticed by the programs. The heads of the site are known and sometimes swing their site into some perks. They then become soft and police negativity because they fear the perks will go bye bye. Typical of these things. Fan boys gonna Fan. They have to protect the outside potential of access to the program by killing what made the site big in the first place.
Professional grading is a racket. The best thing they did is get the nerds in card trading to buy into the idea they know more than others. I would guess someoneat PSA has a few of the same card you have and is t going to give it a 10. I bet if you sold it to them it would magically become a 10.

My guess is even Bama knew it was kind of contingent and thus their hard pursuit of the kid they flipped from OSU.
Your trying to rationalize the actions of 18-22 year olds. You speak of guys sitting out bowl games in large numbers. Anyone who has followed the NFL know that you can make stuff happen at the combine or private work outs. The bowl game used to be something special...then they added a bunch of bowl games and watered the experience down. They added the playoff which again lowered the value of the other bowl games. If you think you will get drafted no matter if it is round 1 or 7 would you risk a major injury?
The world of College Football is different we have more entitled kids who think they should be payed millions to play at the college level. A large majority of them probably spend a bunch of time stewing about how hard they play and they get nothing for it(they don't care about the degree). If college football is a means to get to the NFL the second you can bail out on College and work towards the NFL you will.
Also kids with 4-5 stars think they are entitled to starting right away. All these things factor into transferring. Solomon and Hudson didn't get the PT they thought they would which delays their entry to the NFL. So they leave for greener pastures where they think they can start.
It would be hard to speak on players who didn't want to work in the class room. The fact Kareem commented along with Harbaugh's recent comment about being academic athletes all point to the kids transfering not liking the idea they actually have to pull the grades to play.
I am sure there are plenty of schools who take care of their star athletes and make it so football is all they have to excel at, and these kids all talk to each other.

Attendance wasn't light. The arena was probably 80% full and it was super quiet. You go to a game and support and cheer on your team. Same set of excuse making babies would have been running to Home Depot & Lowe's for pitchforks and torches had the team somehow lost the game.

I think OSU wanted to fire him for the Zach Smith stuff and he begged to finish the season. I also felt the team knew before the Michigan game which is why they came out and played like they did.

Would say Johns and Dejulius. Castleton is too skinny to get much PT this year. Basketball teams once they get deeper into the season like to keep a tight 8-9 guy rotation.
Shouldn't move to avoid OSU. I do think the divisions need removed or adjusted because The fact Michigan seems to get to play MSU,PSU,Wisconsin and OSU every year something isn't right.
I also would be ok with playing OSU earlier in the conference season in the case we played in the Championship game. OSU/UM in the Championship game would be huge for the conference.
I have a hard time getting worked up about the whole OSU thing because OSU had a HOF coach get caught cheating and replaced them with another HOF coach. We had a great coach who had run stale and we took a shot at what people thought was the next big coach...UM hard headed fans dug in and refused to support that coach and it started and 6-7 year run of mediocre coaching. Harbaugh is working his way through trying to rebuild the house that was in ruins.
Imagine Urban leaves after this year, and the go with Day who has no ties to OSU. He is a young coach with a hot name. What happens if he doesn't succeed? OSU easily could go down the same rabbit hole we did. OSU has had more luck in coaching than any school I can recall. This is like Urban leaving Florida and Saban going to Florida.
This is probably the worst ranking system ever....maybe it will work itself out down the road as it seems to put a huge emphasis on road wins, so any team with a few road wins even against trash teams is boosted.
