I can’t envision a world…

I can’t envision a world where JJ isn’t at least a back-up QB for the next 10 years.

that would mean $70-80M for him.

He has also secured himself a spot as a Michigan football legend which he will surely make a lot of money.

Nothing for him to gain by coming back.

I can deal with the slappies…

I can deal with the slappies if the NCAA brings no punishment. It’s actually funnier that way.

if this ends up like the satellite camps where clearly we were doing something “wrong” but not against any clear rule it’s even funnier.

I would really enjoy pointing out that our staff is just way smarter than theirs. Even if they become the villains of college football.

Cade was 3/3 for 19 yards in…

Cade was 3/3 for 19 yards in the 2nd half.

It’s clear the coaching staff didn’t have faith in him.

Lucky for them they had Hutch and Haskins.

I got nothing against Cade but be real he is an average (at best) college QB. I fully expected him to leave once JJ cemented himself as starter. No issue with that.

But let’s be real he burned 100% of the goodwill he earned by going along for the ride in 2021 with the bridge on his way out.

He could have easily just said “this is JJs team now I need to go find mine. Thank you and go blue.” And he would have been a hero here forever.

No way of knowing he doesn’t…

No way of knowing he doesn’t have the same injury following the UM advice.

Completely reasonable for 2 sets of doctors to have different advice.

We get to see how dumb…

We get to see how dumb rankings are

Colorado beats #17 TCU (now UR) by 3 and moves up to 19

Duke beats #9 Clemson (now 24) by 21 and moves up to 23…

Rankings are dumb early in the season and only exist so the sports media has something to talk about.

Not going to the game but…

Not going to the game but going to do a deck tailgate during the game with some college buddies.

drinks will be beer and whatever everyone has for byob.

gonna make hot dog burnt ends and smoked queso for apps. Then once the game starts I’ll through burgers brats and dogs on.

lots of yard games planned as well.

Racine and Hunwick maybe.

 …

Racine and Hunwick maybe.

He had very few games where he had to be the better goalie this year.

The game last night tells his story. If you believe you have the best goalie on the ice you play high event/high pressure hockey.

He was a good goalie for Michigan. And that’s ok. Loss wasn’t on him. Coaching staff didn’t give him a chance to win it or lose it.

He played as well as Denver’s goalie. If we had utilized our talent to trade pressure we likely would be celebrating today.

Is there a slow mo of this?

Is there a slow mo of this?

To me it looks like he slaps his helmet with the play sheet and pushes him back.

JJ 100% makes those mistakes…

JJ 100% makes those mistakes because he isn’t ready for the situation.

There is no reason for him to not be ready at this point in the season.

Cade didn’t lose us this game, Harbaugh did.

The worst part of it is Cade was showing he was good enough to overcome the shortcomings of this team and Harbaugh took the chance away from him.

Cade won in Madison because…

Cade won in Madison because Wisconsin put up 150 yards of meaningful offense.

If Cade had lost that game he would have run out of town.

Please put in the QB who is more talented and likely to benefit the most from the experience, like every other successful team in CFB does.

Defense play needs some…

Defense play needs some context.

3rd worst game of Tanner Morgan's career (and would have been a lot worse if DBs hadn't dropped 2 picks in their hands). Morgan isn't the best QB we'll play but he is far from the worst.

Ibrahim is a dude who ran for 1160 yards as a freshman. If 2/3rds of the carries last year hadn't go to Rodney Smith we would have been terrified of him coming into the game.

The one time Minnesota looked to try and attack with the passing game in the 2nd half resulted in 3 straight sacks. In an effort to save Tanner Morgan's life PJ Fleck responded by shutting it down. When you are running the ball down 18 in the 2nd half when you clearly can't stop the other teams offense you should expect to pick up some yards and that happened.

The sad thing here is the…

The sad thing here is the refs can control this. When its this blatant just throw one flag. Stuff like this would end real quick.

3) All photos I can find of…

3) All photos I can find of it before yesterday they don't have helmets on but I'm not 100% sure

It was really weird cause (I think it was) Khaleke Hudson was the first guy they encountered and they just unlinked arms and walked by him no issue.

The whole thing was just really odd.

edit: this is the walk before last years Notre Dame game. No helmets.

I don't know where this goes…

I don't know where this goes but ToP was 42 minutes for UM.

What a performance.

That is not what Oklahoma

That is not what Oklahoma State was trying to do.

They took the snap with 4 seconds left and ran the 4 seconds off the clock to end the game. They didn't care about the run-off cause they didn't needed.

Also with a deadball foul you don't get the run-off.

All Oklahoma State was trying to do was get the last 4 seconds off the clock.

So running full speed at

So running full speed at someone and hitting them as hard as you can is OK but punching someone is sickening?

I'm not a UFC or MMA guy in the least but if 2 people want to go compete on a level playing field in a safe environment then by all means they can and people are entitled to enjoy the competitition.

I'm curious as to where you draw the line?

Football/hockey? Boxing? Pro-wrestling? Amateur wrestling? Martial arts tournaments?

There wasn't a system in

There wasn't a system in college that was going to win with Nick Sheridan or Steven Threet at QB.

Leaving out the middle part

Leaving out the middle part of the quote is a bit deceptive.

"It was a tremendous experience, I wish I could do it again. Hopefully I can do it again."

That makes it seem like he is hinting at going.

Either way I'm glad I got to watch him every Saturday when he was here. Incredible talent.

For Wisconsin they didn't

For Wisconsin they didn't watch the game so they don't know how lop-sided it was.

They look back at the score and see a TD loss on the road early in the season.

Had we hit the field goals to make it 23-7 like it should have been we would be getting the benefit of the doubt.

Dallas might not have

Dallas might not have anything to gain in that game. Might have the starters sitting.

Could be good!

Who were the other former

Who were the other former players?

Its surprising to me that they wouldn't just to college as well. Most (all?) colleges have some major rival (granted not like UM-OSU) that you think they would instantly jump to ahead of any pro rivalry.

A pro rivalry falls short to me because there isn't that sense of forever with a pro team. CWood is forever a Wolverine but is he forever a Raider and a Packer, and a Raider again? And lots of guys move around a lot more than that.

If you look at the teams

If you look at the teams they've beaten right now I agree that they are close.

The issue UM is going to have to fight is at the end of the season people are gonna remember where those teams were when the games were played.

Bama has 5 wins over top 20 teams (when the games were played). That will be bandied about by people making the pro-Bama (or just pro-SEC arguement). They also have 2 more left on the schedule (LSU this week and Auburn). So if they win out it will be at least 6.

Michigan has 1 against Wisconsin.

Now as the season unfolded maybe PSU and Colorado turned out to be solid teams and Tenn Ole Miss and Ark aren't that great but then you'll just get the "SEC BEATS EACH OTHER UP! THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD!" argument.

Basically the SEC bias is a strong machine to beat.

Bama is #1 until someone

Bama is #1 until someone beats them.

Keep winning and Michigan gets that a shot at that.

saw your comment as being in

saw your comment as being in reply to the "your math doesn't add up one"

too many beers?

YES!

YES!

They were down 7 before the

They were down 7 before the point after try.

There are 3 possible outcomes.

1) Kick the PAT and are down 6.

2) Fail to get points (missed kick or failed 2 point try) and are down 7.

3) 2 point try is returned and they are down 9.

If they were to somehow get another TD they would the PAT as an untimed down. Making it a 6 point gave gives you the best (albeit still extremely small) chance to win.

I'll add to that another

I'll add to that another clean game by Kenny Allen. Good on kicking in all 3 phases.

As others have said I'm going

As others have said I'm going dline.

In my ideal world the MSU offense isn't able to move the ball past them. The rest after that takes care of itself.

I'll take that bet!

I'll take that bet!

Was comin in to make this

Was comin in to make this joke. +1 to you good sir

Wife got her degree from EMU

Wife got her degree from EMU and now works at UM.

She is 9-1!

I have 2 degrees from UM does that make me 10-0? Got her! yesssssssssssssssssssssssss

Aren't there at least 2

Aren't there at least 2 soccer teams?

Is Kathy Ireland available?

I hope someone somewhere is

I hope someone somewhere is making a side by side GIF of the Peppers punt return and Denards first TD where he drops the snap in shotgun.

Both of them gave the old "no, no! go, go!"

That bomb was clearly a "no

That bomb was clearly a "no way they throw here... oops"

Best thing: Michigan's

Best thing: Michigan's defense turning into the QB eating machine as advertised after the second quarter.

Best (worst?) non-Michigan thing: Why do guys keep dropping the ball at the 1?

yes winning!

yes winning!

Must have messed up bad to

Must have messed up bad to warrant a 2 game suspension.

I interpreted A Fan in I interpreted A Fan in Fargo's post to be hyperbole intended to show coldnjl how ridiculous his post was.

I'm confident Harbaugh could

I'm confident Harbaugh could figure out how to use Gardner.

The games Gardner was on he was incredible.

The fact that they couldn't protect him/figure out ways to get the ball out of his hands quicker made me think Hoke/Borges should have been charged with some sort of crime.

Except your unhealthy

Except your unhealthy lifestyle is harmful to everyone around as well as yourself.

Funny thing about winning. It

Funny thing about winning. It justifies any legal (i.e. not cheating) strategy.

"Peterson will live."

But

"Peterson will live."

But would he want to?!?

"Finally, you seem to forget

"Finally, you seem to forget this was a team that was purposively tanking since December..."

Alright you got me. That's a hell of an organization you are rooting for there.

The general public doesn't

The general public doesn't have a real strong grasp of how the caps work and each teams relative situation.

Because of that they don't really get that for phoenix $7.5M pretend money on the cap means nothing and $1.1M real money out of their pockets means a lot.

Best way to explain is to point out phoenix's point of view.

Get: 16th pick and cash

Give: 20th pick 54th pick

If your like me you'll be explaining this trade a lot over the next week or two.

You are right, I really wish

You are right, I really wish the NHL would change the rule that requires players to live with a 5 mile radius of their home arena 12 months a year.

Totally unfair.

Care to share the stats you

Care to share the stats you are referencing for your arguement? Didn't think so.

Care to address the other parts of my posts which ask how Toronto is going to go from one of the worst teams in the league to at least average in most major categories? Didn't think so.

I also appreciate the tap dance from "Andersen is a significant upgrade" to "Andersen is average but Reimer was injury prone".

If you want to have a hockey debate/discussion I'm all for it. If you just want to try to get in a jab (I must be salty because the leafs have had so much more success than the wings in the last 25 years) and provide no actual back-up to your claims then we can just end the conversation here. No need to reply.

Are you arguing that Reimer

Are you arguing that Reimer wasn't your best goalie when you traded him?

What is your logic that Anderson is an upgrade? I present equivilent rate statistics despite Andersson playing and a significantly stronger team.

Anderson might be a solid NHL goalie but you will be paying him one of the top contracts in the league. But let's face the facts here this is a goalie who has 1 NHL season as a clear cut starter. And that was statistically his worst season.

I'm not saying Reimer is an elite goaltender but He has played his career for one of the worst performing teams in the league and is stopping the same % of pucks (which is what matters) as Anderson playing on one of the better teams in the league.

Bernier is a perfect example of this. LA has been a very good defensive team when Bernier was there and he put up good numbers (specifically 2010-2013 - 5th, 2nd, 8th). Bernier moves to Toranto who has been bad defensively (26th, 27th, 27th) and Bernier's numbers drop. Why wouldn't you expect the same thing to happen with Anderson?

"You speak of the Leafs evidently Vezina quality netminders of last year...(throws up hands)"

No I speak of Reimer and Bernier. If you don't have any arguement other than "do U even watch hockeyz lol!" and other hyperbole then why are you even on here talking about hockey?
