It will be a nice contrast to Iowa's black and yellow unis.

Our receivers will really stand out for that one time that JJ is allowed to throw downfield.

Not my favorite look, but it is nice that should Michigan win, it immediately has a visual frame of reference of which year the photo is based on the pants' color.

Assuming the Hawkeyes are wearing yellow pants and black jerseys, I don’t see why Michigan couldn’t wear their blue pants and maize jerseys.  No one cares how the game looks on monochrome tv, it’s 2023.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm just not a fan of the all-whites. Would have much preferred maize pants, or the blue pants like we did in 2021.

I guess I should be thankful that at least we wear blue jerseys at home for football. I'll never understand sports where the home team routinely wears white (my understanding is that it goes back to home teams being better able to launder their jerseys, which ceased to be a relevant factor decades ago). If one of your colors is white, or you have a tradition with white jerseys, fine (LSU, PSU, teams like that). But for teams like M, wear maize or blue and make the visiting team wear that shit...

Which is fair. Doesn't really apply to us--we maybe have a few weeks where the weather could conceivably be hot enough to merit something like that, and we're usually playing tomato cans those weeks anyway.

But I'm talking other sports (LSU is the only football team I can think of that routinely wears white at home; I could see PSU doing it for a whiteout, too, etc.). I can't tell you how many times I've seen our hockey and basketball teams wear white jerseys at home. There's no sun or heat to deal with in an arena...

A week ago - there was a post that Michigan would wear the traditional home uni for the Ohio State game.    The team played in the all blues.

I don't care what they wear - as long as they play their game and wind up with a "W" after facing the Hawkeyes.

As for my apparel - I have worn my maize 3/4 zip long sleeved Nike Jumpman pullover every game this year - it's yielded positive results - and, I'll be in that tomorrow night.

Go Blue!

Maybe, but Harbaugh is the reason that all whites are even an option. My understanding is that prior to Harbaugh's hiring in 2015, we had only ever worn all whites for a few years in the early-mid 70s (looking it up, it seems to be 1973-75), which happened to be the first three years of Jack Harbaugh's tenure as an assistant here, and a pretty formative time in Jim's football and Michigan fandom (he was 10-12 years old over this span). I'm pretty sure he mentioned as much when he reintroduced the all whites back in 2015.

So yeah, maybe the players pick now, but no Harbaugh, and white pants likely aren't even an option...

I'm surprised nobody has weighed in with the classic "I don't care what they wear, they can wear pink tutus for all I care blah blah blah" horseshit

These look clean!

Gary Hazelitt (Director of Equipment and Internal Operations) was speaking at U of M club of Ann Arbor for the Monday Luncheon at Weber’s. He mentioned the all white uniforms. He also indicated Mike Sanristil had a big say in picking the uniform colors this week!
