The only real stinker series thus far has been the Celtics vs Sixers, mostly because Philly is a mess.  This has been a really fun playoffs otherwise.

Unreal how bad that front office has been once they kicked Hinkie to the curb. Two of the worst contracts in basketball in Horford and Harris, two all-NBA talents that are uniquely poorly suited to play alongside each other, and no true shooters on a roster that desperately need them. Would love to see an alternate history where Hinkie gets a shot at landing The Process.

Trey had another great performance, to the point where the announcers were befuddled as to why he wasn’t in at the end of the game. Truly an awesome time watching him tear it up once again.

A part of me gets it, but a smaller, atrophying humanist part of me will always be baffled that top-20 recruits always took a pass on Beilein.

I get that (at the time they're recruited) they're high schoolers and vulnerable to impulse and influence.  But none of them were interested in the tutelage of a coach who's reached the Finals twice and has former players out on the court in the NBA, not simply riding bench or stuck in the G-league?  Objectively, Beilein's not a bad bet if your goal in college is glory or money.  The only thing he won't do is slide a bag of cash under the table, but it's dismaying that his Lawful Good reputation didn't win him a single top-tier recruit.  Not for the program per se, but for society in general.  I just don't feel like Beilein should be such a glaring exception, even as I know he damn well is.

Happy for Burke and Hardaway Jr, as they both had pretty awesome games, but this thread should really be about how crazy good Luka Doncic is. especially for a 21 year old. I still can't believe my local Sacramento Kings passed on him because Vlade Divac didn't think with Luka's dad was nice enough.

Luca is Larry Bird 2.0... and not because he's white.

Just very similar games.  A bit slow, but great body control.  Great vision and passing skills, great positioning on rebounds, running pick and roll to perfection.

Luca seems the better natural ball handler and Larry was obviously a better pure shooter, but the the ability to force the game to be played at their own pace and always being the centerpiece is eerily similar.

Will be interesting to see Luca mature and if he can get his 3 point % up to the 36-40% region.  He's special and clutch.

Since shaking off some Game 1 jitters, both Trey Burke and Duncan Robinson have been crazy efficient.  25 points on 14 shots with two turnovers is a good night's work for anyone.

Speaking of which, though, is it the 1980s all over again?  No squad was held under 100 points all weekend.
