LOL

With the "top OL in the country" who got penetrated like a run of the mill porn star Cade would have been sacked 17 times.  JJ kept about 15 plays alive

That said he threw 2 pick sixes which suck but holy smoke the OL made TCU vaunted 3-3-5 look like 85 bears.  The OL I am boggled by.  I realize Big 10 defenses are not great but they make playoff teams look like 5 stars galore.

Too many mistakes to win a game like this, but they never quit, despite having every opportunity to do so, and came close to overcoming all of them. Next year’s team should be better than this year’s, so maybe they’ll get another chance in 2023. This was still a great season. For next year, I think they really need to work on developing their 2 minute offense, which has been a coaching weakness for quite a while. Finally, I can understand disappointment, but those here calling for coaches to be fired after a season like this are fools.

They scored 39 pts in the 2nd half but it wasn't enough. The game was basically lost in the 1st with only 3 pts. Too many mistakes in the 1st half to boot.

Not having Blake Corum hurt but no excuses.

The whole team came waddling out of the locker room for the opening kick with their heads jammed firmly up their asses, dedicated to playing stupidball all day long.

Some of them decided later on to pull their heads out and start playing again.  Roman Wilson and Ronnie Bell go here.

But some of them decided to double down on the heads in asses and continue to do the stupidest thing possible at all times.  F-minus-minus for the offensive line, which choked away this game like it was the only thing they knew how to do.  Missed assignments like it was their job.

Last play was targeting however I’ve watched Michigan football since 1969 and expected JJ to throw a pick or fumble that last play he makes plays but makes a lot of mistakes

Michigan trailed by two scores most of the game. Yet there was no sense of urgency. Plays not sent in quickly; OL walked to the line;  receivers jogging and taking several more seconds to get set. It's like they never planned for this contingency. Unbelievable.

We’re so insistent on winning games a certain way that we just fall apart if things go off script. If we want to win championships we’re occasionally going to have to win shootouts and we’re completely unprepared to do so. We trailed most of the game by multiple scores and still ran the ball more than we passed including pathologically avoiding throwing the ball in the red zone. I believe we’re now 0-18* under Jim when the opponent scores 30.

*Excluding multiple overtime games against Indiana and Rutgers.

Had nothing to do with us losing. We got the ball back and went four and out. Saving another 20 seconds earlier on means later. Better to get the play call right and score.

Our offense played fantastic throughout the game, with a few obvious and painful exceptions. Our defense got gashed. Blaming that loss on our offense is stupid.

I mean, it was a crazy game, but the offense had the ball at the doorstep of the goal line multiple times yielding zero points and threw two pick sixes in a game that finished with a six-point margin. That's literally a difference in the game.

With a game this insane, there's a lot of stuff that goes right and a lot that goes wrong. So laying the blame on *one* thing is... unwise. But the D gave up 14 points in the first half and the offense could easily have had the team up 17 or 20-14 at halftime, which is right where we are supposed to be. Instead Michigan was down 21-6, and things got nuts.

One of the befuddling, difficult things about this game (one of many, we just missed out on a chance to play for a national title we had a legit shot at winning) is that there's no one handy solution to fixing this. It's not just "we need the 5* QB to win the job" or "we need a defensive coordinator who can coach zone" or "we need to recruit better RBs" or "we need to shore up a weak offensive line." There are things here and there--time management has never been a Harbaugh strength, and in the end it did shave some useful time off at the end of the game, for one small example--but the sheer volume of events beggars any neat explanation.

The team showed up not ready to play. It simple says they weren’t focused nor as hungry as TCU. All mistakes are mental.   The goofy behavior by Edwards at the media event. Talking while the coach was answering questions made me wonder how focused he was.  Not that he made any great mistakes but I think these guys believed the commentary concerning them.

This game was the result of that lack of focus and desire. Period

Too many mistakes. The call overturning the TD and consequently fumbling the next play on goal line was the worst sequence I can remember in a lifetime of watching football games.
