JJ got way too cocky, held the ball too long when he should have tucked and run, 2 of the same fing throws that he forced and got picked off.

Yea yea, great season and all, horrible finish.

Embarrassing, pitiful performance by the run offense.   How many times did Edwards get stoned at the line of scrimmage?    It was the biggest shock of the game.    No one in the world expected TCU to dominate our offensive line…….but here we are.    Another bowl loss.

I need to watch it again since I couldn't see that well in person, but it seemed like they just flowed downhill so hard that we couldn't block fast enough. it's really our passing game that should have benefited from this, but we didn't play action nearly enough

JJ played his heart out. Sure he had a less than stellar game but the kid left it out there. I’d take him any day 8 days a week over his predecessor and I’m not a hater! With a looming off season, let’s hope this continues to drive and motivate this team. 2023 isn’t far off. As pissed off as we all are, we will be back and rooting the boys on soon enough! happy new year 🎆🎊🎈 ALL

People complain about the mullings handoff and the trick play but celebrated the hb pass against osu. You call your shot and sometimes it works and you are a genius other times it doesn’t. Was the Philly play caller an idiot in the super bowl for throwing to nick foles?

Stats say in NFL 80 % percent chance of winning if you pick six.  Not sure I can ever recall a team winning when giving up two pick 6's in a game.  Yet Michigan had a chance, kept fighting.  The fumble on first and goal from the half yd. line and the 3 & 7 broken tackle play by TCU after Michigan pulled within 3 and 2 pick 6's too much to overcome.   Still a great, long season.  Injuries caught up with Michigan.  Really missed our best player Blake tonight.

One of this staffs worst preparations for a game I can recall.  Really stupid tick play, who fucking throws the ball with a TE?

Did we ever run our bread and butter plays,

Pretty simple you can’t throw 2 pick 6’s fumble at one one and drop a ball in the shot gun, there is a reason they only want JJ throwing 20 times a game, some might like him throwing it all over, you saw what happened tonight.

I’m so disappointed in our piss poor running game I want to die.     I thought it was different this year. They weren’t happy just to be there…..they were there to Win!…….yeah so much for that :(

I hate life right now.

The offense outscored TCU 45-38 and technically they scored 52. 52 in any game should easily be a win. Unfortunately about 6 different calls are what will be remembered but 6 bad calls out of 75 plays shouldn’t have cost them the game. But they should have taken a field goal at the beginning instead of the terrible 4th down play call. That’s a 3 point difference right there on top of the 7 point difference on what should have been a touchdown with Wilson. Those two things right there cost them the game essentially, but it was a whole collection of small issues. Overall though, 45-52 points should still win any game you play. I’d guess 45 points would win 97% of games played currently. So everyone shitting on the offensive staff and Weiss need to let it go. They had the team in position to score over 60 points.

Also, as an aside, after the 4th series the staff was trying to get JJ to pull the ball more and also take some yards with his legs on broken pass plays. Unfortunately he didn’t start using his legs until the second half. But the staff was aware that JJ could have done some more damage in the first half with his legs. It just didn’t work out. But again the offense put up 45. which is more than TCUs offense put up. And supposedly TCU “outclassed” Michigan all game long. Funny how they scored less on offense but somehow their coaching was better? It just came down to a few bad calls and a few mistakes. They just happened to add up and were too much to overcome.

Those blaming JJ’s play should shut up. Yes, he threw two pick sixes but not sure we don’t get blown out without his playmaking ability.

I blame the offensive line for turning in one of the worst performances of the season. Sloppy penalties, missed blocks, getting pushed around. We needed to establish the line and didn’t.

Had two trips inside the two with zero points, still scored 45. Scored 39 in the second half.

I hate losing as much as anyone, but our guys were down 19 and fought like rabid wolverines to get back in it. Of course the goal is to play flawlessly, but don’t they get any credit for fighting back after being down by so much?

JJ in particular. Even after the pick 6’s he was firing. Dealing, running…competing. And the only thing to remember are the errors?

Bullshit.

This team started poorly tonight, got down by a ton, and fought their way back into it. They had a chance at a game winning drive. It didn’t work out. Turns out that TCU is actually pretty good at football too.

Part of the measure of a squad is how they respond to adversity. Our guys did themselves proud on that count tonight.

Just an absolute shit game plan and preparation from the offensive coaches. Apparently the worst thing you can do is give harbaugh time to overthink because we look consistently awful in bowl games

Dykes mentioned that they were able to stop the run and force Michigan into some things that they weren't comfortable doing.  And that's part of our problem on offense.  We relied so much on handing the ball to Corum because that's all we needed to do to win.  Until it wasn't all we needed and then we weren't that comfortable with the alternatives.

Our offense scored the most of any playoff team. A terrible call by the refs took another score away. Michigan blundering two opportunities took another away. Dykes didn’t do anything. Michigan beat themselves. They set the tone by not taking 3 early and then calling a bad play call. JJs interception shortly after wasn’t Michigan “out of their comfort zone” that was just the normal offense. Michigan scored 39 after TCU “forced them to be uncomfortable.” TCUs offense scored 37 points for the whole game. So I guess who really was not comfortable then? What a dumb comment to make.

I told you guys back when I got neg'd into oblivion when I commented that Harbaugh was running Corum into the dirt.  I knew the second I saw Corum vomit on the sideline that he was harboring and/or headed towards injury.  That sideline play where he was open/running with ball and just gave up told me all I needed to know.  Harbaugh keeps a stable of runners because that's how HE wins games.  We gotta put everything on this young JJ, going forward.  Let him enter a pass-first-run-second mentality and the kid will destroy teams, game after game.  UoM is doing too much behind 'distribution of the athletic experience', rather than infusing a 'dominant program stratagem'.  Make no mistake, we play to win.  But we're just not very effective once versatility strikes.  JJ can't get better if he's relegated to old school NES Paperboy tasks, tossing the skins at stationary mailboxes.  Let the kid stunt. :unedited:

Random thought. Without Blake coming back in 2023 the running back position is scarily thin. Love him but Edward’s ain’t no Blake Corum! Recruiting has been horrible in this area. The staff obviously doesn’t trust Stokes and or Dunlap at all. I mean Mullings? Kid is a LB as evidenced yesterday! Good kid just allow him to play the proper position. He isn’t HH 2.0 as much as Jimmy wants him to be, he isn’t.

I think Michigan's OL was a little overrated. What I mean by that is Blake Corum's vision and toughness between the tackles would turn our running game from a 1-2 yard gain into 5-6 yard gains consistently. Edwards for all his talents just isn't able to do that, at least not yet. Michigan's rushing yards were heavily skewed against OSU, not to take away the holes the OL made but, OSU helped out by sending a mad run blitz and got caught twice. Take away Edwards first carry yesterday and the running game was average at best. Pass protection wasn't all that great either, as JJ more often than not was running around for his life. I'm not sure why Michigan makes goal line offense so hard...I've never seen a team so clueless from 5 yards and in. Especially with JJs ability to run...These are just a few things, JJ sneak it, JJ run an option and either keep it or pitch it out to RB, JJ fake option and step back and hit a TE/WR. Hell even throwing a fade would've been a better try than whatever the hell that was with Loveland, because if Loveland was supposed to throw back to Mccarthy....Why the hell was JJ just standing around at the 2 yard line looking lost? Alot of fans probably didn't notice because these things tend to not get brought up when you win, but JJ was getting away with some pretty reckless throws these past 3 or 4 games now. This time it caught up to him, but I think he had a hell of a year considering he's never really able to get into any kind of rhythm. I think he only gets better as a player, but what I don't care for is all the talking he does, and the fact that he walked out after 1 question. Hopefully he learns and doesn't double down on the talk ala a Chase Winovich. I'm not saying the talk had much impact in the game, just saying it'd be nice if all the players left the talking till after a W. Someone mentioned that it's just talk of confidence and maybe some of it is...But you never heard Charles Woodson probably the most confident/back it up player ever at Michigan spout off like JJ and some others. I thought it was bordering on disrespectful and maybe Michigan underestimated TCU. And JJ if you're gonna talk before the game, you better be ready to answer questions after and not punk out. Ok i'm done rambling, i'm sure i'll get downvoted because I criticized some things.

The offensive line needs to learn how to hold. Just watched some of OSU-GA and just about every key play for OSUs offense featured major holding that allowed stroud the time he needed to make throws downfield. Meanwhile our offensive line was too honorable and just watched blitzers fly by
