All signs are pointing to current President of The University of British Columbia Santa Ono will be named the next President of the University of Michigan at tomorrow’s Board of Regents meeting. Here’s a bio:

Smart dude who has been on faculty at Emory, Johns Hopkins and Harvard  He was also the former President of the University of Cincinnati.

Further, apparently Mr. Ono is a big sports guy. He presided over the University of Cincinnati’s climb in sports profile. He often tweeted about UC sporting events and sat in the student section at football and basketball games. Here’s a public article from On3 about his effects on sports at UC.

Welcome to Michigan Mr. Ono. At least he doesn’t have a hard act to follow.

matty blue likely takes issue with with the fact that Peterson and his lemmings often tend to see his position and credentials as a means to argue from a position of authority about subject matter (usually his own personal opinions about random shit) NOT in his field of expertise, and OP doesn't like or agree with those opinions, nor does he likely appreciate the use of his professional credentials in Clinical Psychology as some sort of all-encompassing pass to speak with authority and give weight on every single social or cultural issue under the sun as people seem to ascribe to him.

Santa Jeremy Ono (Japanese: 小野三太; born 1962) is a Canadian biologist and university administrator. As a faculty member of Emory UniversityJohns Hopkins UniversityHarvard University, and University College London, he contributed to the field of gene regulation in the immune system and to the understanding of inflammation in the eye.[2] Ono served as the 28th president of the University of Cincinnati and is currently the 15th president and vice chancellor of the University of British Columbia.[3]

Between the crowd surfing and his bio, this guy sounds awesome!  I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and Sjögren’s syndrome (two related autoimmune disorders) around 15 years ago.  Santa is one of the good guys trying to solve the mystery of how to stop autoimmune reactions.

No Michael Barrett? I know nothing about Santa Ono other than what I just read, but I don’t think I could be happier with the selection.

Maybe soon we’ll buy a qb recruit. Alabama somehow has two QB’s ranked in the top 100 in this years class. If they can afford two, I’m sure we can find the cash for one.

Why do we have a second thread discussing the same info that was discussed in the the thread 3 posts below this thread?
