I actually found it hilariously self-degrading. For Saban to even pretend that his team deserved a shot after not only losing twice, but barely surviving against some bad teams? Just made him look desperate.

I wrote to some friends as I was watching the interview that it would have been slightly more entertaining and certainly more honest had Saban conducted the interview shirtless and wearing a spiked leather collar.

1. What's with the "SIAP" silliness my brother, this thing just got created so you're definitely first.
2. Great concept but like most comedy bits it ran on too long (looking at you SNL for the past 30 years or so)
3. IMO, missed a few great opportunities for real humor. I would've had security tossing the USC guy out of his seat for something stupid and then have the OSU guy knock the Alabama guy over rushing to get the now open seat instead of just having Alabama guy arguing with the lady.

I think this works for SEC Airlines.
It would've been funny with a CFP Airlines, though. Michigan, UGA, TCU, USC are all confirmed and board. Then the USC gets kicked off and osu gets on the flight via standby. As USC is getting pulled off, they argue, but then say, "well, I hurt my leg anyway." Bama tries to board and hijinks ensue. Door closes with gate area showing also-rans Clemson, LSU, Tennessee, et al sulking or throwing fits.

The best one they released was the week of Thanksgiving with Tennessee in a neck brace, cast and face full of bruises after getting destroyed by South Carolina trying to cover up that game….

They've been tough on Alabama this year. It might seem a little cruel, but I thought the one from a few weeks ago where they portrayed Alabama as a "Make a Wish" child was especially funny.

These guys do fantastic work every week and I really wish they'd do other conferences too.
As for Saban grandstanding, it was disgusting.....but I get it. That's sort of his job. Harbaugh would have been doing it if we lost a close game to OSU and we'd be mad if he weren't. Thankfully it didn't matter and in two years we won't have to worry about it unless you want to hear the 9-3 Oregon State coach or 9-4 LSU coach shout about getting in as the 12th team.

I do love Bama fans using betting spread as a barometer. Mainly because using that metric gives Bama (at least) 5 losses, not 2.
