Sherrone Moore, first black man to be Michigan head coach.

Submitted by SalvatoreQuattro on January 24th, 2024 at 6:58 PM

A monumental moment in the 144 year history of the Michigan football program. One that took far too long to come but is now here: A black man is the face of the University of Michigan’s most prominent arm.

Celebrate it. Embrace it. But most of all give Coach Moore your full support. He will need it.

Coach Moore is our Henry V now.

Once more unto the breach, gentlemen.

Go Blue.

Do you think that celebrating the historic milestone of Michigan hiring its first black head coach, means that said coach was hired for the color of his skin?

Sherrone Moore just coached Michigan to arguably the most important win over Ohio State in program history. Is that not competent enough for you?

Funny how Hart has to prove himself but most people are ready to anoint Moore as the  “chosen one” based on 3 games. Moore was given way too much credit for not screwing things up. Are we sure Minter wouldn’t have gone 3-0?  Offense didn’t win the Natty…the defense did.

You judge head coaches by the color of their skin?  Yikes.

Oh, and comparing Sherrone to Henry V is like THE LAST COMPARISON you want to make, since skin color apparently means something to you.

Sherrone is a good coach because he's a good coach.  He deserves to be head coach because he's a good coach.  Anything about his skin color is reverse-racism, which is in and of itself racism.

Sorry, but I hope they don't promote Moore. It would be a mistake. Michigan can do better than an assistant with no experience running a program.

Yes let's hire someone with actual head coach experience and not someone who has never been a head coach simply due to the color of their skin.

Seems like a good idea since so many shit on other possible coach candidates due to lack of experience yet are now on the Moore train

You are missing something.  We shut down our offense, sat our starters, and didn't play the 4th quarter in about half our games this season and we also played 4 top 10 defenses.

If we play our starters the whole season and run up the score like in the old BCS days and if we change our schedule a bit, we are actually almost certainly a much higher rated offense.

We protected our players most of the season.
