Shea threw 12 times and completed 50%

I don't care if he throws for 50% every week as long as they win. Go Blue! Notre Dame wasn't overrated either. Those that say that suck.

So, the forward pass had it's coming out party back in 1913 when Gus Dorais threw 14-17 and Knute Rockne and ND upset a nearly professional Army team , 35-13.

(Army recruited players after they had played 3-4 years at other schools to "train them" for the military)....

106 years later Shea used less passes upset Rockne's beloved team...

Dorais and Rockne worked out their revolutionary plan on the beach at Cedar Point (they were lifeguards that summer)--maybe Jimmy should take the team there to train....

What role exactly does Shea play in our oline mauling the shit out of ND all night? Never in my hypohetical did I say we would have lost, I said it would be a different game. The bottom line is, Shea makes a few plays a game, those are plays that pretty much any B1G starting qb could make.

Shea defenders, please tell me is there any way you could say he is a top 5 qb in the conference? He is playing behind one of the best olines and the flat out best wr group in the conference and is performing at a bottom half level. The offensive struggles all year were a direct result of his turnovers and bad decisions.

Take out Northwestern, Rutger, Maryland, and Purdue only because Sindelar is hurt, Sindelar is better than Patterson..and probably MSU though Lewerke was way better when he had a decent oline and receivers... Shea would not start for any other team in the conference. I don't know even know what the hell his defenders are watching, it couldn't be UM football games.

"THE SWEDES WERE NAZIS DURING WWII!!!!!.... **SNORE**...."

If only there was a thread to be able to talk about an offensive performance. Thanks for being so innovative

As a team Michigan completed 8 passes and 3 were TDs.

Had you told me that before the season I would have guessed that equated to 275 yds and scores by Nico (2) and Black or DPJ.

I thought he looked ok in the early going. His scrambling was effective. But there is a point in near every game where he freezes up and has a hard time making decisions from that point forward. At those points if he doesn't immediately get rid of the ball you can see that the play may end badly. He hasn't put together a full, good game this season.

He is not a great pocket guy and his arm is just ok. The run game is starting to round into shape, now they need to get more of a rhythm throwing.

Before the game, “ND is overrated”, after the game, “We beat a very good top 10 ND team”. Which one is it, make up your minds lol. I personally feel ND was a good team but they have no backup plan in inclement weather. If BK can’t get his pass game working the whole offense wilts and they can’t do shit. I think we were very lucky to get the weather we got, but the tenacity we played with would’ve led to us beating them in any weather.

ND put up a fight between the hedges in a big time night game.  They weren't overrated. They simply ran into a talented team who has finally started to put it all together, while at the same time being angry as a MF'er due to people questioning everything they work for.
