winning comment of the day
You'll get no argument from me... talk all you want when you back it up on the field.
I suspect that if MSU twitter is blowing up, it's just taking a little joy in a rival's loss... kinda like most UM fans when Clemson kicks our ass... again...and again.
So, his name coming up will always trigger those fanbases. I shudder to think what will happen when Dabo comes up. Might want to pour a little passion into that matchup if that's what gets you the results.
I won't be saying anything to Clemson fans until I have a reason to.. that's the difference. If you don't understand that, then... I dunno my man.
We'll have to keep an eye out for when Brian Hoyer gets cut, maybe some of us will join TOC and start posting there.
You for got anyone in the SEC. Ok except for maybe Kentucky & Vanderbilt, but I get your point.
Oops double post
You coming on this site is like me going on an MSU blog; I wouldn’t do it. I certainly wouldn’t post on an MSU blog.
So strange that OSU fans not only troll this site, but post on it. It’s very little brother-ish. You must be over 40 and remember when U of M kicked your ass on an annual basis. OR you are younger and can’t get laid. Either way, I feel sorry for you.
Go Blue! ?
It's called schadenfreude - something Jim Mandich was well acquainted with.
This is the exact kind of attitude that make people hate Michigan fans. Arrogant, obnoxious and living in the past. OfficerRabbit provides a cohesive and sound explanation as to why MSU and OSU fans are happy that Patterson got cut and you have to go out and be a dick for no reason? Just why?
Forget those guys. Shea is gonna get signed by some other team and lead them to the super bowl.
This is true. IIRC his brother made mention of how great he would be in the NFL before last season when there was supposed friction with coaching
WOW, this is the first semi, and I do mean semi, coherent thing you have said since....a long time!
Oh NoOoOoOo!! (Loud fart sounds shortly after)
Apparently they decided to watch some tape on him.
Damn. He got fired on his day off.
So he can come back for his 5th year now?
Please No.
I can see it now: Shea comes back and suddenly fans start thinking:
"Hmm - maybe canceling the season isn't the worst idea after all."
What!?! He can start running the RPO effectively, he did it at IMG! It’s coming any minute. Just wait until we get rid of Pep, or get a new Offense, or Shea gets healthy or Shea learns the Offense, or Gattis finally gets through to the players, or the new players get more snaps, or they all get comfortable with the Offense, or, or, or.........
or the rest of the offense produces NFL level starters like the defense does
All these ors and we still can't row the boat...
Hope he saved his money.
I don't think.he even got to put on the uniform.
Good for him.
I'll always remember seeing that play live. Beautiful throw. An absolute dart that splits two defenders, hitting Mario right between the numbers. Doesn't get any better than that.
Me too. Section 6, row 21. 40 years in the family. So Cool to see a play happen in your end zone
I was such a spoiled fan in 2005 that I didn’t even watch that game. I was so pissed they already had 3 losses (ND, Wis, Min) that I couldn’t be bothered. Very disappointed THAT was the reason I missed one of the best game ending plays in Mich football history.
I can assure you, I have accepted my penance and will appreciate any big wins in the future.
Hell yea he is. Dudes living the fucking dream.
He gets to work out, watch football 24/7, practice a bit, and be on the sidelines, have most of his daily expenses paid for, not wreck his body, then win a Super Bowl and get a ring. And get over a million a year to do it.
IDK if it's possible to live a better life than that!
Clearly you’re not familiar with the PGA Tour.
Probably somebody in the front office was processing paperwork and belatedly realized they hadn't in fact drafted Shea Peterson.
What’s the Casablanca line? Shocked?
Color me surprised...not.
This does not bode well for 2020 - does it ? I mean if Shea is that awful, how do we fair in 2020 with his backups?
Maybe no 2020 season is a good thing for Michigan football.
Edit - let’s just reboot this whole thing in fall 2021 with J.J. calling the plays and slinging it. Plus Justin Fields is gone. Win-win with no 2020 season as playing it will totally suck yet again.
Because incumbent QB's are always worse than their predecessor? Tom Brady would like a word with you. Also all of the other QB's in the history of time.
Appreciate the effort toward a more positive spin on the edit. Went from a crabby negative post, to a more positive take.
Seems like he could be a decent CFL guy.
I think he'd a perfect fit for the Atlantic Schooners. They were a CFL expansion team in Nova Scotia in 1984. Unfortunately, they couldn't secure funding for a stadium and withdrew their league membership a year later. So the team never actually took the field.
And if there was ever a player who would be perfect for never taking the field ...
Great googly moogly.
It's because he is not good
Not sure I'd say he's not good. He was a serviceable B1G QB so he was OK in the collegiate game. He's just not an NFL talent. Most college football players are not NFL talents.
So he couldn't beat out Jordan Ta’amu a second time, and two 35 year olds. Everyone just assumed the first time around that he wanted out, even though there was a lot of smoke coming out of Ole Miss that he was being outperformed by Ta’amu.
Transfers happen for a reason. They rarely pan out. Also not a very optimistic read on the current QBs.
Worked out fine for Justin Fields and OSU despite much “smoke” coming from Athens, GA.
Funny how that sort of thing pans out EVERY time for OSU.
He would have a chance with the Lions, if he drove up to Detroit!
his golf game ought to be stellar thus summer with all the time he'll have on his hands!
I am glad to see that Shea continues to annoy so many people around here long after he's left.
Side point.
There are a lot of young aspiring NFL players that just don't appreciate how hard it is to make an NFL gameday roster, especially at qb. Especially as a FA or a low round pick (Brady).
Speight and Patterson are just roster bodies coming out and never had the talent to have lasting power to be on an NFL team.
