If he’s that good he’s going to have to stay upright. I have a good feeling about Warrinnnerrrrr tho. I think our run blocking will be better which will open up things in the passing game as well. With a simplified OL game plan this offense slowly gain steam and (hopefully) turn into something SCARY.

Warriner was one of our coaches when I played at Army. We had a great year against some really good teams and played in the John Hancock Bowl aka the Sun Bowl aka who knows what it is now against Bama - and lost 29-28 only because of Derrick Thomas - RIP.

Needless to say - I know for a fact our undersized, unrecruited offensive linemen were NASTY, downright mean, and used to love taking my unity DBs out - they made a game of it lol.

And all the teams we played found that out real quick. We averaged like 348 rushing per game.

If Coach is still the same in philosophy and meanness - well be ready to be surprised.

I keep reading that Shea is basically a first round NFL lock next draft. Anyone else think thats getting a bit ahead for a guy who wasnt in the top of any stat category for QBs? I mean, sign me up and all, but just curious where this is coming from

This is nuts. Just ridiculously over hyped for a guy with 10 starts and like 3 wins and more interceptions than touchdowns vs power 5 teams. He should be good but above average is a much more likely outcome than elite

Eh, maybe. I mean, he was a former 5* #1 QB after all... those guys are projected to be Elite. That being said, it would be somewhat wise to keep expectations down a bit to save thyself from major disappointment. But not too much.

I have high hopes for Shea too, but the ranking systems are surprisingly very bad at predicting elite QB's. Most of the guys in the top 100 players list fail to come close to the hype they had as a recruit. Obviously Shea was in the more elite class, but even that group has been lacking in accurate predictions.

I want to be this excited but this is just ridiculous. What this is is just the next step in the media cycle where they overhype us, for us to underperform, so then they call us overrated. This stuff is dumb in September, let alone in May.

Suuuper premature.

I'm all in for Shea (although I feel comfortable also if BP or DM has to play some snaps) but let's see him out there running around in a winged helmet before we start awarding trophies.

Go Blue.

Not this year. The kid has a lot of potential. But a true freshman with poor mechanics, terrible accuracy and still learning the playbook isn’t going to get a lot of “love.” He needs to get coached up a bit. Right now he’s just a kid with a strong arm that is showing flashes of that high potential. But he’s nowhere near ready to lead this team.

It is an article written by someone no one here has ever heard of that has some praise for Shea Patterson.

Whether he is hyped or not hyped, that has no effect on how anything plays out.

Rumor is Notre Dames starting Running Back Dexter Williams is suspended for the first 4 games of the season. This is looking more like a michigan win everyday thats a huge loss
