Schadenfreuede over May's hiring
Some juicy threads from:
Indiana Rivals board:

Louisville 247:
Enjoy!
A few years back, one of those "highest value programs" lists came out for basketball and UK and UL were #1 and #2. Kentucky loves basketball. I live in Louisville and I still don't understand how UL is valued that high.
From 2020.
Indiana basketball fans are so funny. They’re like the Notre Dame football fans of basketball. Perpetually underachieving with an absurd amount of talent while still riding their high horse from success that occurred decades ago
"Perpetually underachieving with an absurd amount of talent while still riding their high horse from success that occurred decades ago"
Hmmm... Seems vaguely familiar...

I was watching the Poole 3 over Houston game from ‘18. We’ll be there again soon, Let’s work this Portal.
It is nice to see that other team's boards are as insanely hateful toward their AD as we were just a few short days ago. Louisville tears + IU tears also taste delicious.
My favorite was the OSU guy on Twitter saying May is just a flash in the pan and it was a bad hire. Would love to see the alternate universe tweets if they had gotten May.
In the first Louisville link it takes 20 posts before someone mentions that their conference is imploding and that they don't have any idea what conference they are going to be in NEXT year.
Geography says the xLB1G.
I will admit that I didn't expect all the gnashing of teeth from opposing fan bases over this hire. But it's wonderful to see them lamenting their basketball loss because Michigan is a football school.
I've knocked Warde a thousand times on this site, but today he earns praise for a good coaching hire that should settle Crisler Arena and get the bball program back on the track that Beilein left it on.
Hire Warde?
Getting the guy everyone else wanted is always a good sign.
But I'll reserve judgement until about 4 years from now.
Louisville fans still haven't come to terms with what Pitino did to their program. It's not an attractive job anymore. Anybody who's anybody is going to want a SEC or B1G job going forward. Dusty made a wise decision.

I saw where the Louisville message board said that UL was a better job than Michigan. Why? Michigan has a far better record in the tournament in the last 10 years...
