Roll Call for Saturday + Early Weather Outlook

Submitted by XM - Mt 1822 on November 24th, 2021 at 6:02 PM

Mates,
Cutting to the chase, lets see who is headed to AA for the game on Saturday.   And while we're at it, what type of pre-game plan, ritual, tailgate do you have in store.

Out ahead of our esteemed weather lady, looks like it'll be dry and mid-30's.  Some rain/snow tomorrow and Friday and maybe on Sunday, but not for the game.

Tonight's questions:

1.  Are you going to the game?

2.  Regardless of whether you are going, what is the plan for game day and watching?

Happy Thanksgiving,

XM

I enjoy these threads.

For the first time in 20 years I’m not going to The Game in a year it’s in AA.

I live in Columbus and we are having family in for thanksgiving at our house this year. I’ll have my flags flying and a fire in our backyard fire pit by 7am with a beer in my hand and WTKA, with a hefty mixed of loud music (which leans towards 80s rock the more beer I have) going on. Lots of food and a house split on osu vs UM. Wife, daughter, and myself are all rooting for the good guys  ;)

Wife and I are going to the game. Parking at Webers Inn and having breakfast then taking the first shuttle over to have a look at college gameday.

Where’s everyone sitting?

We are section 20 row 68.

Forget where everyone is sitting, MGo users should all meet at the 20 yard line when we charge the field to celebrate.

I had previously decided to watch the game alone in the basement this year, but it’s going to be too good for that. My confidence in this team is off the charts and I’m going to see if my brother wants to pickup a pair of tickets and go into the stadium this year.

Have a great time. Jealous.  Although I hope the weather is even worse than predicted.  Get colder and snow!!!!  It can only help the team with the better running game!!!  Which I believe is Michigan.  Haskins will be the key.

hi saggie,

just wanted to make sure you didn't miss any of my posts so you could continue to neg them.

incidentally, you keep posting about other posters and asking them about how miserable their lives must be as you scorn them.  have you ever considered your own life when you chase my posts around to neg them, no matter how benign they might be?  hope you get over it.

happy thanksgiving.

good morning saggy.  you do know that both seth and robf have met my family or nearly all of it, as have a fairly significant number of other posters and lurkers years and decades before any manufactured issues, right?   if i had ever said anything that was 'false' about which you complain, don't you think at least one of those many folks would've said something?

regardless, happy thanksgiving.  a grateful heart is a happy heart and i'm guessing your user name closely describes your heart, which is a shame.  maybe you should try to be grateful and stop giving rein to the hate and nastiness that seems to have a pretty good grip on you.

will you be at the game?

I will be at the game with my wife and daughter. I just remember how in your previous posts you represented something you are not. You also spread a lot of COVID misinformation or at the very least tried to minimize it. You like to make snide little comments that give off a I’m better than you type vibe. See your above response to my simple statement of unfortunately. I personally just don’t appreciate your posts. That’s all. I don’t wish anyone any ill will. My username is just that a username, nothing more nothing less. It has very little to do with me other than we’re I am originally from. But you took it upon yourself to make assumptions about me. Which is ironic coming from you.

If you don't appreciate someone's post, simply ignore and move on. Going out of your way to post "unfortunately" brings about additional attention, and conversation... which may be beneficial or critical to you. Either way, you opened that door.

Whether or not I agree with all of XM's posts is irrelevant, he brings a level headed approach and typically good content to the board. Your Covid opinions and how they're not relevant to this post, as well as your misunderstanding of the XM handle are on you.. not him.

a snide little comment, to use your words, is where you post 'unfortunately'.  my comments to you were substantive.  think about your behavior here for a minute.  you are so petty that for posts you don't remember that were a year or more old you still hold some type of mythical grudge so dearly that you chase that poster around to neg them....a year or more after the fact.  get a hold of yourself.  and please don't take my responses as 'better than you' just because i don't call you foul names which i know is popular for internet warriors.   i haven't made any assumptions about you that aren't painfully apparent.  get over it.

i tell you what, and i'm serious, i hope you, your wife and your daughter have a great time on saturday.  i hope you all and the rest of us are, despite odds we all know are against us, joyful beyond measure at game's end.  if nothing else, celebrate a 10-1 team that is a very good football team for our favorite school and the fact that you have the means and ability to attend a very big game.

Going with my mom

Jack and coke for me, wine for my mom before the game. Don't know about food. In the stadium hot chocolate and kettle corn. After the game, whatever my mom wants to do.

Tailgating at AAGO with a great group of college friends who are circa ‘92 grads. Michigan was Big Ten champs all four years of my undergrad days. A taste of that former glory sure would be nice.

Going to the the game.Tailgating before hand. Post game plans involved getting hammered if we win or eating an inhumane amount of Frita Batidos to cope if we lose.

I wish I could be there but I have to work the entire weekend.  I have a feeling this could be the year. However, I thought the same back in 2018 during the revenge tour.

Going to my first Ohio St game. Michigan has never lost a game that I’ve been to so I’m hoping that holds true. Plan to check out gameday before heading in the stadium.

The wife and I will be there.  We don’t tailgate.  Instead, we grab a nice big breakfast before the game.  Hoping for a dinner celebration after the game just like 10 years ago.

Bundle up for a relatively chilly day.

I will be there with my brother. Tailgating with whatever we scrounge together, many drinks.

I just had a vision of watching the clock tick down on a 34-28 Michigan win. Let's see if I have the gift...

I'm going to a massive OSU watch party hosted by a very good Buckeye friend of mine.  He rents a VA hall, has an open bar with a potluck so there's a TON of food, drinks and friends there-albiet all rooting for the wrong team.

This will be my 3rd time going (he has season tickets to OSU so only does this for M home games) and it really is fun although it would be LOT more fun if we win.  There will be about 100 OSU fans there vs me, my wife and a couple of random M supporters.

Wish me luck Sarge, I'm going in.

You could not pay me any amount of money in the world to convince me to go watch a UM vs OSU game with Buckeye fans. I have only ever done it one time and it was in 2006. Never will I do that again. I live in Ohio and 5 minutes from most of my siblings who are die hard OSU fans and have never watched The Game with any of them. They are the most annoying fan base God ever created.
