We had boomer band Pop Evil make a song called "In The Big House" in 2011, and it makes me sad. What else made your cringe in Michigan history?

Not usually the ban words and songs/politically correct sort but not sure how anything with the following line was allowed at Penn State:

"Hands, touchin' hands

Reachin' out, touchin' me

Touchin' you."

If I'm a university that went through what PSU did, I'm looking for almost anything else to play at the stadium.

Honestly, I don't think that would be terrible as a snippet playing as they show highlights before the break on tv.

It was really bad to play in the stadium, but it's not the worst marketing song.

Went to the PSU game this year and that DJ they had was probably worse than the halo. Terrible idea and executed as poorly as possible.

Hail and Unite (replacing The Victors and then rebranding it -- after the backlash, as a pump up song) is the most cringe thing in Michigan history.  Full stop.

Wow, I did not know about this. It's like the intersection of Michigan arrogance and younger generations of students not knowing how to do the wave variations in correct order. Sheer audacity blended with incompetence.

Howeva, cringe can lead to the best lulz, so I tried mightily to find a video of this song. I could not. Maybe (hopefully) because it doesn't exist? Hopefully. Because they are doomed to fail. If you're going to make a pump-up song called "Hail and ____" then there is a 0% chance that you can top this:

It was on this board for a while.

The tl;dr is the song never made it to fruition.  Despite a very detailed business plan of crowdsourcing and soon to be celebrity endorsements.  Weird huh?

It was just some b-school douchebag's class project.

He was subjected to immediate scorn/shame for even implying to get rid of The Victors for something else and instead of licking his wounds and regrouping, he doubled down on being a fucking moron about it all.

The Hail and Unite page is still up on the university servers and all the social media (twitter, IG, FB) are still up so you can see the emperor's new clothes of it all if you're bored out of your mind.

I'm always surprised that the Shane Morris issue is laid solely at Brady Hoke's feet. Obviously, he's the head guy, and that's where the buck eventually stops.

But I'd have thought that the QB coach (Nussmeier) should have been considered the primary culprit, as Shane was Nussmeier's main (only?) responsibility.

Moreover, I'm surprised that Shane's teammates didn't step in and keep Shane from returning to the game.

It really appears as if there were no adults in the room that day.
