QB Speculation for fun

Submitted by swoosh on

Your thoughts today so we can look back at how wrong or right we were.

Week 1 Starter - Peters

The reason I think Speight's head got a little big this off season.  His talent ceiling does not coincide where he thinks he can go.  I like Speight, I just think Peters may over take him.  If not by week one, then the start of big ten play.

EDIT

Sorry if I ruined your day for some, that was not my intent.  This was just to throw something out there to see different views.  If I asked who do I think will start, I would answer Speight.  I like Speight and I like his confidence.  My comment about "head little big" it's my opinion Speight feels he can make a throw and force it in, when he should just take what the defense gives him.  I have no idea if this is true or not, it's just opinion and I will cheer for whoever starts.

Speight starts the entire season, enters the draft, and goes in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Peters gets mop-up reps, and takes over in 2018.

Lol what makes you think Speight's head got too big exactly?

And unless things are going terribly, why would they make a change right before BIG play?

Speight will develop Ebola this month. SInce it is fast moving but quiet in its developmental phase, he will pass it to Peters, O'Korn and Malzon in the film room. Only Dylan McCaffery, because not yet on campus, will be spared. While mourning the untimely death of all of the other scholarship QBs, McCaffery will start from day one and win the Heisman, his first of three...

Hey, it said speculate...

A swollen head is not a symptom of ebola.  Given others' predictions, encephalitis sounds more likely. Luckily, it is not nearly as contagious, and Malzone might be spared.  McCaff still takes over after a catastrophic outing in West Lafayette.  By OSU, though, it is ex-QB-ex-TE Gentry who has taken over.  His 600-yd, 8-TD performance there isn't enough to win the Heisman, but gives M a lot of confidence going forward.

I'm setting the number at 15.   And each will offer us the OP's special thoughts and special feelings on the selection.

Here are Swoosh's special thoughts & feelings:

Speight will start the first few games.  He will get injured about mid-way through the season due to a blind side sack.  Peters will then start the rest of the season.

Of course, I don't want this.  Just my prediction.

purposes and something to talk about. I say Peters starts and has a very good season, cements himself as our QB for the following 2 years. Speight sees this and does a grad transfer the following year to get another season of playing under his belt before entering the draft.  Dylan will then take over for Peters and have 2 great seasons and UM starts to produce top flight NFL QB's again.

and it's pretty certain that you speculating like this could get people killed too.  or give them the flu.  or something else real bad.

so stop.

My speculation is that both Peters and Speight will take snaps. At the same time!! Peters will sit on Speight's shoulders. That way you get Speight's elusiveness with Peters arm strength.
