I hate to tell you this, but there are multiple levels to BPONE, and you’re still towards the top. It’s like Dante’s Inferno. You are still in the first circle my friend.

I honestly thought Michigan had a chance vs. PSU in 2017, so much so that I went to the game in Happy Valley. In 2018, I was absolutely sure they were going to beat OSU and paid through the nose to see Michigan get curb stomped in the second half. I have been to every Michigan-OSU home game since 1997 and the only time I actually thought they would lose was 2013.

I have now descended deeper into BPONE and I am 100% convinced they will get killed by PSU. My only hope is that Michigan will be put down easy and early. But I fully expect them to lose in the most painful fashion imaginable. I do still have hopes that Harbaugh will right the ship next year, so I guess you could say I’m in like the 3rd or 4th circle of BPONE.

If this was a noon kickoff, I would agree 100% but we’ve seen what can happen at those whiteout games.

I don’t think Michigan needs any breaks, they are the better team. They just can’t afford anything crazy to go against them. No long TD’s called back for some stupid penalty, no targeting calls on our defense, no turnovers on our end of the field, no major penalty differential, and no bad spots on 3rd/4th down or anything else that leaves you saying “why does this shit always happen to us”. If they can avoid those things and just play them straight up, Michigan wins.

Do yourself a favor and look at the Offenseive rankings for the teams Michigan has played.  Spoiler: only Wisconsin is in the top half of the country, and even they're nothing to write home about.  And 3 of the 6 teams are in the 100s.

This defense will deserve to be counted on once they've played well against a team that is competent on offense, and not before.  Through six games, it hasn't happened.

Im really not that worried about PSU. I still think theyre overrated. Not saying Michigan is winning but no way its a blowout loss. PSU just doesn't have the weapons to pull that off again

I think it's a stretch to say that they're overrated, but it is encouraging that against the two opponents they've faced with a pulse (Pitt, Iowa), PSU looked pretty ordinary.  I understand the BPONE and find myself suffering from a bit of it myself, but I don't think this Saturday is going to be a repeat of 2017.  Saquon Barkley ain't running out onto that field this time.

PSU is gonna destroy this squad.  When is the last team a Michigan team (other than OSU 2016) looked even remotely competitive against a top ten team on the road?  Line should swing to -11 for PSU before kickoff.

Franklin pulled an upset of a lifetime that gives him rope in 2016 and went on to win the BiG and should have been in the playoff followed up by a stupid 4th and 2 call a year later in 2017 where they almost beat OSU again.

Harbaugh doesn’t have any of that and in fact gets blown out when it matters.

This is one of those times I will take PSU and the points with a significant amount of money so it will feel like a win win type of situation.  Unless we lose a close one but I don’t think that will be the case because BPONE and all.

Penn State will be out for blood after getting beat 42-7 and mocked by our players last year. Hate to admit it but a lot of you guys are right. We’re all fucking Michigan fans get behind this team. It’s a known fact that a handful of the players read this board. Shea is our starter, I will be the first to stop with the bashing as his confidence is already shaken from the media. The first half of the season was shit show but that has nothing to do with the games coming up. No evidence to suggest we can pull off a Penn State upset but maybe the players rally to save Harbaugh’s job.

Username checks out.  Save Harbaugh’s job?  You are crazy.  The problem with our expectations is that we have been so near-sighted for so long that when we even see a winner, it’s never enough:  Dabo, Dantonio, Ferentz, all coaches who have had more than a chance.  Michigan fans will never be satisfied three coaches in 10 years.  If you get him fired make sure Bo walks back in.  Even though he never won a CHAMPIONSHIP.  People have a right to be disgruntled but honestly while the program is heading in the absolute right direction some people would rather just say F it and start over.  Well I’m sure you have no clue who to bring in but maybe you’ll do a better job after you get him fired.

UGA fans thought the same thing with Richt. As did Florida with Mcelwain. Bottom line is when you have the resources programs like Michigan, Florida and Georgia do, 10 wins is not enough. Brent Venables, is a Kirby Smart level hire. Even if success is short term I just want a Big Ten Title. With that being said, things could change over the next 6 games. And you’re delusional if you think Harbaugh isn’t on the hot seat. No Michigan coach can survive 0-5 vs Ohio State.

LMAO!!!

As long as Warde Manual is the AD, Jim motherfuckin' Harbaugh will not be fired as Michigan football coach.  As long as the team continues to win 9-10 games each year, JmfH will not be fired as Michigan's football coach.

He may well decide to leave on his own accord for some reason, maybe even by mutual agreement.  But he will not be fired.  This is just something you need to settle with...

We are staring 5 losses in the face right now with an offense that can't do much right, and don't give me "well we put up 42 this week". We put up 52 on App State in 2014. Our most targeted receiver is Ronnie Bell, and we're more than likely going to lose DPJ, Collins, and Black this year either to transfer or the NFL. How is that heading in the right direction? We're farther away from OSU than when he got here.

Well maybe that’s a deeper problem .  If we get players that get all butthurt from some twitter troll fans ,  then maybe we need to look harder at the type of players we’re bringing in and ones that aren’t so mentally weak .  Sorry Zach Gentry ,  maybe don’t go on twitter and read your mentions right after a dud performance against OSU and you wouldn’t have been butthurt in the first place

I agree with this. However, you know who also gets butthurt from Twitter trolls? Kevin Durant. I think players can get pissy online or mad about trolls and still either not let it affect them or use it to motivate them.  I am not overly concerned.

I'm really surprised it's not double digits. We've had struggles with every cupcake on our schedule so far aside from Rutgers and were annihilated by the only real opponent we've had. If it were really easy to bet on sports I'd gladly take PSU and the points and hope to be pleasantly surprised if I lost
