Predict the last 6 games

I *want* to believe. I don’t think we are as bad as we have looked, but at this point in time I’m still feeling pretty negative about the 2nd half of the season. Would like to hear some other opinions. And yes, I know it’s hard to predict games a month or more from now, but this is my gut feeling at this very moment.

-PSU 28 UM 13. D will keep us in the game for a while.

-ND 27 UM 20. We will play much better but won’t have quite enough.

-UM 35 Maryland 21. The shine has wore off of Locksley.

-MSU 14 UM 10. Uggh I’m having 2017 deja vu.

-UM 28 IU 24. This will not be easy, just like most IU games lately.

-OSU 38 UM 24. We put together our best game plan of the year like 2017 but just can’t keep up again.

7-5. I hope I am very wrong. In a more positive way I mean.

I usually care alot about the irish but not so much this year. If we beat PSU and lose to ND I literally wont give a shit and will be estatic that we will probably be playing OSU for the East and a trip to Indy so yea I dont care about the Irish this year, it will just be nice if we could beat them.

This is exactly what I would predict, as well.

The question is where that leaves us.

POSITIVES:

Harbaugh's first 5 seasons would consist of 3 10-win seasons, and a 9-win season.  The only outlier being the year we were forced to play our 3rd string QB for most of the season.

Assuming we beat MSU, Harbaugh would have restored the balance of power between us and Sparty (3-2, but one of the losses may have been the flukiest of all time)

After 7 years of being a laughing stock (aside from that one great Hoke season), Harbaugh has restored us to being consistently in the second-tier of CFB.  Not in the same league as Clemson, Bama, LSU, Georgia or OSU (ouch), but solidly in the same group as PSU, Wisco, ND, etc.

NEGATIVES:

0-5 vs. OSU

General lack of stability on the team

No offensive identity

Recruiting is decent, but is not showing any signs of putting us in a position of being able to compete with OSU.

So does OU, and LSU's QB play which was what held them back is based on a senior, so to put LSU in the top tier, they'd have to beat Alabama and show that next year's QB will be as good, or at least, close to this years.  OU has proved year in and year out, they're in the top tier.

If Michigan does not beat PSU, they are not beating ND or Indiana. ND is a much better team than PSU. If they beat PSU, I will give Michigan all wins until OSU. In other words,

Two scenarios:

1. Lose PSU, Lose ND, Win MD, Win MSU, Lose IU, Lose OSU

2. Win PSU, Win ND, Win, MD, Win MSU, Win IU, Win OSU, Win Wisconsin for B1G, get playoff bid.... (a guy can dream can't he?)

Yep, 2-4.

Beat: Maryland  and Indiana (a close win)

Lose to: PSU / ND / MSU / OSU

The MSU game will be 10-9 or something like that. You know Dantonio will pull out all the stops and some weird shit will happen.

Not too far off from where I think we will end up. Maybe flip the MSU rock fight game in our favor, then increase the margin of victory for PSU.

Im refusing to get too bummed about it. I’m embracing the suck, so to say. And looking forward to the team grinding out what they can and rooting for them along the way.
