I remember Brian Griese's father dissuading the Loins from selecting his son in the draft. That was a very smart move.

Aidan's talent would be completely wasted as a Loin.

I have my own history with the Loins, in connection with my work, and they seem to be the weirdest organization in football.

Honestly, at this point of a decade-plus of wishing they get a better pick, it doesn't matter.

Especially this draft, when the talent seems to be kind of equal among the top five- I don't think there's any super big advantage from having 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.

I just want the team to start winning and getting better. And if they end up picking 5th, fine- get the right GD guy.

If they have to win a game and it can't be against the Packers or the Bears then the Vikings are the next best choice.

I guess Kirk won't be able to walk the streets for a while.

Why didn't the officials make the Lions kick the extra point?  A block and return is a safety which ties the game.  It is extremely rare, but I don't see how this was "officially" over.  That would have been SO LOINS to give up a tying safety and lose in OT.

You’re probably the guy who doesn’t let his kids win at Uno because they forgot to say “UNO!” after having one card left to play. Pseudo-lions fans are the worst and if you’re not a fan, than who gives a shit about the asinine scenario you just brought up? By the way MCDC did a really nice tribute to the Oxford community in his post-game interview. Probably not a great coach but seems like a genuine guy.

Just enjoy the win. It may very well be the last of the season…

Since he's the Lions head coach he will likely get canned in a few years and never rehired again in the NFL, but he's done a great job keeping the team together and playing hard.  I still have a sliver of hope in the guy, assuming his coordinators can improve.

I don't watch the NFL, but I typically check the scores so I can laugh at new ways the Lions lose each week. It is impressive to me that people continue supporting the worst franchise in the league. Hopefully they DO NOT draft Hutchinson for his sake.

Although I think Jared Goff is an abysmal failure,  he showed great poise in that final drive to win the game.

Personally,  I hope the Lions DON'T draft Hutchinson.  I'd like to see him on a more successful team - not perpetual losers like the Lions.

Loins hopefully goes down in blog lore with Moms and Staee. It will never get old for me.

The Loins winning is how I got two kids!

I'm happy for the team. I just wanted them to win one, so we're not 0-fer again. Now they can lose out.

And with coaching like going for it on 4th down in minus territory with the lead, they will do just that.

(I guess ESPN said that analytically, it was the right move, but on a team with this lack of talent? I don't think so)

John Harbaugh elects to go for two against Pittsburgh for the win after driving 60 yards in like a minute. Jackson flips a release pass to the tight end that was a little hurried but very catchable and he biffs it and the Steelers win. Kind of curious why the decision to go for two instead of overtime?

Despite Campbell making another boneheaded move. Up by a couple of points with a few minutes left in the game he went for it on 4th down at his own 30 and didn’t make it.
