Online Rumblings - Rod Moore Torn ACL

Submitted by Watching From Afar on March 25th, 2024 at 9:34 PM

Would normally just wait around to see someone confirm it, but there has been talk that Moore tore his ACL.

Which... would not be good for obvious reasons.

If true that really sucks for him. I hope it's not too severe and easily repaied. And even if he's not full speed until mid-October then that's still half a season.

I absolutely agree with you, BK blue.
I know this is bad news for Rod Moore.
However, Michigan football just won the national championship a few months ago. I’ve absolutely loved the last few months and I’m enjoying every minute each and every day until the new season starts in September. I wear my championship Michigan football gear every weekend. Is it possible to ban the term BPONE once and for all?

I haven’t seen anyone reputable confirm this nor have I seen any former or current players wish him luck. It’s too early to say it’s an acl because it could be an mcl tear or something that’ll take 5-6 months and he’ll be back by week 3.

Balas is now confirming a non-contact ACL.  Says they don't expect him back this season due to severity of the injury.

First and foremost, let's hope Rod recovers fully.

Also, Shit.

You really have to feel bad for the guy. He could’ve went pro, but decides to come back to be a leader with a whole new defensive staff and doesn’t even make it through spring practice. I guess if you’re a silver lining kind of person, right now is probably the best time to tear a ligament, if there is such a thing. He’ll miss the season, but should be back to 100% for a pro day or maybe spring ball if he decides to return again.

Rod was probably a 1st round draft pick next year. Sucks sucks sucks! my son had Tommy John in august and pitched 6 months later with increased velocity and control, so good things can happen if you rehab to a T. Get well Rod and Godspeed young man. Precisely why Sabb leaving was extremely premature on his part.

If this was last year, it wouldn't be a huge deal because the schedule was such that he wouldn't need to play early (and he didn't).

This year, it's all hands on deck for Texas.

Hoping for a speedy recovery.

Sucks for him, and it is funny that Sabb could have stuck around and gotten his playing time.  But injuries happen and UM at least has some time to figure out the situation.  Wish Moore a speedy recovery.

Hoping his recovery is quick and complete.   Go Blue!

And, as others noted - Michigan had a pretty healthy team throughout the ‘23 season - obviously Zak’s injury was significant - and JJ being nicked up was a challenge too.

Hoping everyone on the roster has a good camp…

Who can we poach from OSU? I'm sure there's some millionaires there who aren't happy realizing that they've entered a program coached by a candy ass.

Uhhhh.....Keon?

You uhhhh, wanna come back? You can start now!!

Friend? Buddy? AMIGO?!?

In all seriousness, it sucks, but injuries are part of the game. Time for guys like Zeke Berry to step up and see what they can do. Having Quinten Johnson back here definitely helps as well.

Many sacrifices from the past present and future were required to claim the national championship.  A destroyed basketball program and an ACL here or there amongst others.

Bad luck.....we sorta avoided it for most of the Championship run. Thankfully, Q-Jo decided to come back.

As far as Moore...let's have a full recovery. That's most important.
