I always say Desmond Howard is why I became a fan. A helmet signed by Des and his Heisman Moment Starting Lineup are cool. Denard is one of my favorites too (and I REALLY hated to hear what happened with him recently).
Side note - for some reason, I seem to like memorabilia from this years Rose Bowl game better then the Natty game. I've got the Rose Bowl program and ticket, and the Michigan Daily for that. I scored a JJ Rose Bowl jersey too
One of my best friends use to own a sports card shop, and he and I use to have a TON of cards. Back then, it was more about perceived value. If Beckett magazine said a card was valuable, then I'd want it/get it - even if it was someone that I really wasn't interested in. I bought and sold a lot of Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Barry Bonds, and Mark Mcgwire rookie cards. I loaded up on Peyton Manning and Randy Moss rookie cards. In the end, I just sold them away for next to nothing just to get out of it. But I did trade a lot of cool stuff and got a lot of cool stuff that I still have.
Now, it's more about who I like and what I like, and doesn't matter about the perceived book value. I mostly just do Michigan signed footballs, jerseys, helmets, and pictures. I really like getting the jersey auto patch swatch now. I'm also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, mosty from those late 70's Super Bowl teams and have a lot of old Steeler stuff. However, I also liked Big Ben, Hines Ward, Troy, The Bus, and TJ Watt and have lots of that.
I'm thinking it would be cool to put together a group on like Friday evenings before Michigan games and hangout and do some trading.
I really don't know much about the cards tbh. I didn't buy or order them. I'm a Champions Circle donor and random swag will just show up sometimes. I do remember seeing the cards and unopened packs in the glass case upstairs at MDen last weekend. I'd be glad to send you some of these, if I have any you need for your collection.
Also - I know this is a ways off, but I was thinking of putting together a swap meet kinda get together before some home games. I've got way too much memorabilia and would be cool to get together and have some beers or bourbon, and play some corn hole, and trade Michigan stuff.
yikes - drupal..... I feel your pain as the hostmaster / webhosting provider for VT. I'd have to update for php hardening, and use to have to put in so many suhosin security patches and exceptions for university orgs and depts to use it. we ended up cutting it all off, and have moved to AWS. now the only type of cms they can have/use is WordPress. and we only allow that because they're in their own container now.

One of the Michigan podcast groups was sitting behind me and took my picture and posted it to their page haha... That sign got a lot of attention (note I got a picture with Peoples-Jones with the sign... HIS PR guy and his people came and took pictures of us haha)
Yes - remember I posted here asking what I should put on my sign. It was right around Wrestle Mania when I asked, and this was the consensus agreement. Glad I did. It worked out in my favor haha

Someone posted it last night on a Michigan fan page on Twitter X that has like 100k followers. While I was on the phone with them to pay for it, 3 people walked in looking for the bottles. One guy was from NC. She asked me what in the world was going on because they've had them for like 10 days and nobody cared, and now all of a sudden it's blowing up and tons of people are walking through the door and calling. I told her what happened and she was like OMG!!!!
Anyways - mine is paid for and someone very nice from this board is picking it up for me and shipping. Thank you all very much...
