I Don't expect much to come of this, funny nonetheless.

You don't say.

S. D., here are your winnings sir..,
February 27th, 2024 at 10:46 PM ^
Oh, thank you, very much.
February 27th, 2024 at 6:48 PM ^
To the guillotine with those Buckeye nut heads.
NO MERCY!!!!!
February 27th, 2024 at 6:50 PM ^
Nice of OSU to pretend there are still recruiting rules.
February 27th, 2024 at 9:20 PM ^
Seriously, are there any recruiting rules left and an even better question, who's going to enforce them? The spineless NCAA? OK, whatever
February 27th, 2024 at 6:53 PM ^
You have to give them credit though, where credit is due. Unlike our Athletic Department, they know how to manipulate the NCAA and Big Ten as well as timing of when to release information. OTOH, our AD seems to always be in damage control. Why is that?
February 27th, 2024 at 7:08 PM ^
If that is damage control, yeesh.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:16 PM ^
turning this into a warde manuel problem is so very mgoturd of you.
February 27th, 2024 at 6:57 PM ^
The NCAA will do nothing, and that’s fine. Onward, for everybody. Settle it on the field.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:04 PM ^
Welp were fucked.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:05 PM ^
Wait… so the final score is now 30-24**?
February 27th, 2024 at 7:10 PM ^
Put an asterisk next to their Cotton Bowl loss. Their cheating obviously gave them a 3 TD advantage. The record books will officially list the final score as: Missouri 14, Ohio State -18. The NCAA will be releasing the report soon, according to sources.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:11 PM ^
According to the report, a coach contacted a player who posted his intention to enter the portal, but stopped all communication as soon as he learned contact wasn’t allowed.
Yes, the coach "didn't know" contact wasn't allowed until the player actually entered the portal.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:36 PM ^
Only needed to contact the recruit once to let him know what the NIL offer was
February 28th, 2024 at 8:58 AM ^
For some reason this gif feels oddly familiar....
February 27th, 2024 at 7:15 PM ^
I am resisting the temptation to laugh and point at them for this because I hate the NCAA more than I hate OSU and all of these violations seem like ticky-tack bullshit.
I will, however, laugh and point at them for this:
February 27th, 2024 at 7:19 PM ^
You hate the loyal lapdogs more that their wicked masters?
February 27th, 2024 at 8:27 PM ^
Never, ever gets old. Ryan Day, live forever.
February 27th, 2024 at 9:31 PM ^
Penguin on meth, with a whistle. Cringeworthy doesn’t even Begin to cover that disgrace…
February 28th, 2024 at 9:03 AM ^
The best line: "At press time, the NCAA had released a statement saying they assumed they were already closely monitoring the university for some recruiting bullshit."
I suppose it's difficult when 90% of your staff is already working overtime looking for ways to screw Michigan.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:33 PM ^
What happened to the Board of Regents and Warde Manuel looking into Ohio State hiring the PI Firm? We're waiting.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:05 PM ^
And Catapult. Hole was certain (according to his "sources") that things would unravel. Absolutely nothing. And Stalbomb twitter account that he so endeared, got nuked and no longer exists. He's a joke.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:34 PM ^
Ohio State is the king of self-reporting small violations. It's so obviously strategic that you wonder why the people whose only job is rooting out things like this still accept and just move on after 15 years.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:42 PM ^
This is rich....
freakin losers
February 27th, 2024 at 7:42 PM ^
Like a mob boss self-reporting a speeding ticket to manufacture that “cannot tell a lie” facade.
February 27th, 2024 at 7:47 PM ^
Cheaters. How can Ryan Day look himself in the mirror...no seriously...how can he?
Stuart Smalley wannabe. Or Mumble from "Happy Feet".
February 27th, 2024 at 7:47 PM ^
At this point...why does any school even bother to "self report" anything? Seriously... The NCAA , as we currently know it, is on it's deathbed. They have how many lawsuits pending? The state of Tennessee has basically told them the fuck off... It's gonna be the Big 2 (SEC/BIG) and the "Next 2" (ACC/Big12) paving their own way moving forward. I'm really confused why some schools care about "NCAA violations" while the majority of others don't...and shouldn't....
February 27th, 2024 at 7:54 PM ^
It is always the ones you suspect the most.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:00 PM ^
Pete Thamel and ESPN will have full coverage on this story
February 27th, 2024 at 8:16 PM ^
Such a noble house they are, Ohio St..
February 27th, 2024 at 8:28 PM ^
Does this mean Ubz no longer teaches character & leadership class at OSU, or that he is still teaching it ? Asking for a friend on a slow news day.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:31 PM ^
I’m waiting for Patitti to declare this a player safety issue.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:34 PM ^
How is tampering a minor violation?
February 27th, 2024 at 8:37 PM ^
OSU football self reports more “minor” violations each year than most other P5 programs. This occurred throughout Gene Smith’s tenure as AD.
February 28th, 2024 at 6:40 AM ^
So,they commit minor violations all the time - over and over again - but, it’s ok with the NCAA became they self report.
February 28th, 2024 at 3:54 PM ^
That’s how they roll Amazin…
February 28th, 2024 at 9:31 AM ^
Like many of you I was following CFB closely this year. On 11 warriors and r/OSU there was all sorts of chatter that they were going to get Cam Ward before he entered the transfer portal. This was also before Day had his non-committal talk with McCord. I don't think McCord walked because he was worried about competing with Keinholz or Brown. I think he left because Cam Ward was going to take his job. Then Ward entered the portal and then he entered the NFL draft. OSU scrambled and found Will Howard. Hilariously enough Cam Ward got a bigger offer from Miami and decided to come back after Howard was committed to OSU. There is no hard evidence here, but the narrative reeks of tampering and NIL inducement. It is no coincidence that OSU and Miami were competing back and forth over Cam Ward, Jeremiah Smith, Justin Scott and Jordan Lyle.
"It's been flipping for awhile...."
So IMHO OSU self-reporting minor violations is laughable.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:35 PM ^
The NCAA won't act on these because there were no cheeseburgers involved.
February 27th, 2024 at 8:38 PM ^
This nothingburger has me feeling a bit peckish, but I know I can't ask anyone to buy me a cheeseburger. Heaven forfend!
February 27th, 2024 at 8:49 PM ^
Wonder how we missed the signs!!! We didn't seal the steal!!!
February 27th, 2024 at 10:49 PM ^
How many games is Tiny Tony going to suspend Ryan Day for?
February 27th, 2024 at 11:26 PM ^
It's roughly the equivalent of me telling everyone "I farted".
February 28th, 2024 at 5:38 AM ^
not again....to the barn with you!
February 28th, 2024 at 7:38 AM ^
They're coming for your flatulent cows...hide them! Teach them to cluck and do commercials.
February 28th, 2024 at 7:25 AM ^
But if that fart came from eating a cheeseburger…
February 28th, 2024 at 6:38 AM ^
Only four? Underreporting at its finest…
February 28th, 2024 at 7:29 AM ^
Minor, yes, bu all of them equal to or worse than a cheeseburger and look what that got us?
