Officiating has ruined this sport.

That's it, I'm done.

I've been on the fence for a while.

Yeah, MSU has played a good game, they've also been gifted several things that even the announcers could clearly see.

Overturning calls with clear evidence that the call on the field was the correct one is just disgusting.

I'm over it, hope you all have fun watching Michigan get hosed.

Blaming refs again I see lol

Not Walker gashing us, JJ fumbles, crap play calling, all the FGs in the red zone.

But sure, it's the refs, def not Michigan's fault.

We got our coached and out played the end. Year 2 coach with 20 transfers > year 7 with top 10 classes

tell me I’m wrong. Also have fun watching this kid win a heisman

Came from Bo. Any loss is a result of getting jobbed by the refs…or a secret mandate from the conference against UM.

It’s embarrassing to see/hear that after every loss.

I do agree there is officiating that is head scratching…but it’s across the board in most sports. i’m not going to hypothesize in the reasons why - but lots of close calls or objective flags in all games

Here, there were numerous chances to salt that game away and/or make better decisions. The refs didn’t job blue here.

I mean, the refs gifted sparty an OBVIOUS 7 points and then two huge plays that likely would've been another 14 point swing.

That's way more than enough points to win this game.

That's it, you can argue about shitty coaching all you want but you cant deny that reffing altered the outcome of this game in a huge way.

Again.

0/6 on reviews. Blatant holds and PIs not called. The refs are crooked. Michigan could have made them not matter, but that doesn't change the fact that they screwed Michigan every way possible in this game.

This game reminded me a lot like the 2016 OSU game.

Every controversial call went in favor of our rival in both cases. Today they overturned two calls on the field that we’re not indisputable. That word “indisputable” means something. If a reasonable person can argue the opposite case, then the call has to stand. There needs to be transparency in the replay booth. They ought to be mic’d or at least know who they are. Other sports, like figure skating manage to  resolve subjective situations like this transparently.

Oh there were several key reviews where the evidence was "indisputable".

Indisputably in favor of the call on the field being correct.

On the review at the goal line they CLEARLY showed thorne dropping the ball as soon as he got touched. One of the announcers even said, "this provides more evidence that the call on the field was correct".

This was brutal.  Worst officiated game since 2016 OSU.  Every close call went Sparty’s way.

Yeah, we still had our chances to win and blah blah blah, but we would not have been forced to score in the final minute if it had been more evenly called earlier.

This might have been the worst officiating in this rivalry period. There’s no way there was any visual evidence to overturn the strip sack td. Every single review went Sparty’s way. Holding all day long and barely ever called. Just sickening. Taking it out of the kids hands and liking the big cheer from the home fans.

This loss is in Michigan. They blew a 16 point lead, gave up two straight two point conversions, settled for field goals, fumbled at the worst possible time, and couldn’t stop the one guy they needed to stop. They single-handedly punched Walker’s ticket to the Heisman ceremony on his behalf.

I don’t know, maybe it’s easier for me to cope by just saying that this loss is on Michigan. Maybe it’s a defense mechanism. But Michigan had every opportunity to win this game and it didn’t. That’s on them.

All you have to do is admit that any one of the key BS overturns, or clear missed calls, or bad calls that affected the game gave MSU the points they needed to win the game.

That's it, you can talk about how "michigan had opportunities" all you want but Michigan wouldn't have needed those opportunities if they werent fighting the refs too.

At this point, to me, it's starting to look like coping. People dont want to admit that something they spend so much time and energy watching is just corrupt and honestly not worth watching because of said corruption.

Michigan should have been up by 20. You're on crack if you think that doesn't influence the outcome, especially when - HEY LOOK - they lost by 4 points, the exact margin by which Michigan lost out on by not having that TD stand.

Of course it's not why they lost. But it's also stupid to pretend it had no influence. When will we ever get a close rivalry game called fucking fairly? Because it never happens.

Prob 150+ plays in that game but but the 3 the refs called that didn't go our way are the reason we lost!

The officiating was shit today but I'd be a loser to just blame that for the loss.

Blaming the refs?  Really?  You don't think it had anything to do with untimely turnovers, poor playcalling, and poor control of the line of scrimmage leading to huge runs?  Interesting.

The pathetic thing about responses like this are that I can admit that the play on the field wasnt great and still admit that the officiating is a serious problem.

I think it says a lot more about you that you cant admit it's a problem. Like maybe you're too invested to admit that you've wasted so much time on a sham. Too ashamed to admit you've been fleeced.
