A private "not-for-profit"…

A private "not-for-profit" billion dollar organization that has monopoly power to generate multi-million dollar annual compensation packages off of the labor adults but somehow also has the legal authority to violate several standard labor laws while unfairly limiting the ability of those adults to profit off of their own actions?

You mean those guys?

Yeah, fuck those guys.

Are you trying to tell us…

Are you trying to tell us that not once has a conversation started with a pointed statement?

Because I can show literally hundreds of examples from the front page of the board alone that would completely disagree with you.

Normal people start conversations with statements literally ALL THE TIME.

Unless Harbaugh leaves there…

Unless Harbaugh leaves there's going to be like 20 actual news stories about Michigan Sports over the next 8 months and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them will be on the front page of the actual site. I think we'll be OK.

On the front page of the…

On the front page of the message board alone, if you click into the topics, you'll find literally hundreds of examples of people just making statements, and then other people replying to those statements, and then others replying to those. Ya know, having a conversation.

In real life many MANY conversations are started entirely with someone stating their opinion, no questions asked.

The topic up for discussion is "JJ", you want to talk about a specific topic on JJ then this is an absolutely perfect thread to do that.

Doesn't really feel necessary to snipe at someone and it really looks like you're just doing it to be haughty.

Studies where children are…

Studies where children are expected to self-report have huge issues with their viability due to constant lying from the children.

I don't expect this to be any different.

Anybody that tells you a million dollars didn't factor into their decision is out-right lying.

At this point I'd just take…

At this point I'd just take all of these schools being a little more aggressive against this bad officiating. These bad calls cost these schools a LOT. Seeding, recruits, money, bowl games, w/l's, it's all tied together.

Why is it that we never hear anything from these people? If some part-time employee making a doctors salary cost me what it will cost everyone on that Michigan team I'd absolutely blow my fucking lid.

Why be nice about it? Why be proper about it? It's accomplishing exactly NOTHING. It has been proven time and time again that to fix these issues they need to be brought to the light. If nobody is willing to do it then it will NEVER happen. Somebody, some team of prominence, is going to have to make a serious stink about this stuff.

Personally, I'd absolutely LOVE to see a team just rage-quit. Get a TD overturned, pack their shit up and walk off the field.

Fact: Michigan has lost 3…

Fact: Michigan has lost 3 games in the last two years.

Fact: In 2 of Michigans last 3 losses there has been serious questions about the legitimacy of the officiating after clear Michigan touchdowns were overturned.

Literally, 2 of our last 3 losses had touchdowns overturned that were so egregious that the entire college football world was shocked.

That's a serious fucking problem.

College football is a…

College football is a corrupt league. Like literally all sports with money involved. Anybody who's watched any amount of sports knows this is true or is in some serious level of denial.

Life changing money is still less than "government is going to care that you gave it away in a brown bag". There's virtually no way to prevent it from happening short of giving these guys more financial scrutiny than we give politicians we suspect of aiding foreign enemies.

IDK, gets harder and harder to watch something that I don't feel is very honest or fair.

I completely stopped watching hockey after the Penguins were allowed to play with an extra player for several minutes in what was a clear attempt at league manipulation.

I'm so sick of these takes, …

I'm so sick of these takes, "just execute better"

You mean, "score touchdowns". OK, Michigan did that. Michigan scored and the refs overturned it.

You see the difference in the two takes is that yours fails to place any of the blame where it's actually due. The scoreboard naturally gives the players what they've earned. There's no real need to "blame the players" Michigan didn't earn any points after the mistakes they made. The blame there? Handled by the scoreboard. The world naturally "rights" this situation.

But Michigan also only lost by less than the margin of bad officiating. It's not can't ask them to do more than they did, they did enough to win, and they had it taken away by officiating. That blame hasn't doesn't get naturally settled.

"Play just a tick better and…

"Play just a tick better and that was a Michigan win.  Full stop."

I used to think this was how "elevated" fans reacted to bad reffing.

Over the years I've come to realize this is bullsihit

Your response now gives me mroe of a "i'm in an abusive relationship and need to justify it" kinda vibe.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING…

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING SHOCKER, MICHIGAN GETS ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY FUCKED BY THE REFS.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!!?!

LOL. Edwards had a guy…

LOL. Edwards had a guy wrapping up his legs at the same time and that guy still nearly got put on his ass.

I have no idea how accurate…

I have no idea how accurate this information is.

But, uh....

"the salaries of College Football Referees in the US range from $11,753 to $314,406 , with a median salary of $57,014"

That's not a "part-time job", that's a scam.

And if you know anything about reffing you know it's a giant good-ole-boys club.

I currently live in the…

I currently live in the south and I'm the opposite. (I know, not texas).

35-40 and raining all winter is way worse than it just dropping below 30 and snowing. It's still shitty, wet, gloomy, and muddy, but you can't fucking do anything all winter. As opposed to where it snows where the air is dryer, it feels warmer a lot of the time, and you can ski/board/snomobile/ice-fish/cross-country/etc.

Then summer hits and its 100+ for months straight, nauseatingly high humidty, and endless amounts of ticks.

That write up is basically…

That write up is basically saying exactly what is happening in this video. I'm not sure how you could read that and think it's bad.

Shows the ability to line up inside out but takes most of his snaps inside as a slot. - Fact

Appears to have above average short area quickness and change of direction ability. - This is his route running, its him changing direction, it's pretty much why he's open on most plays.

Possesses some slight hip and ankle stiffness that inhibit separation ability but overcompensates with his ability to play big and utilize his frame. - There are exactly zero instances of him juking anyone in this video. Some of the DB's make some bad gambles, he doesnt make anyone miss, no sick double moves to de-pants a DB. He's just not a typical "shifty slot type". Every bit of his YAC comes from out-muscling people (and poor tackles).

Exhibits adequate to above average play speed. - He's not blowing anybody out of the water but he does outrun a guy or two.

Wins with physicality and explosiveness at the catch point. Flashes some excellent 50/50 ball skills. - Fact

Shows some production after the catch - yes, but, using his power to run through tackles bad tackles or keep tacklers at bay..

but more of short to intermediate route runner with possession ability. - Because in college you're not going to run through tackles like that and coverages will be better..

Plays bigger than his size dictates, has some edge to his play style - he's a possession slot receiver, idk, weird tweener type.

I like him, think he fits this offense well, a guy who's really likely to be able to pull in a contested ball at the sticks on a 3rd and 5 rpo. He's the guy you throw the ball to when you want or need to throw it near immediately after the snap.

I see a few people bringing…

I see a few people bringing this up but aren't those metrics opponent adjusted?

Please don't support the guy…

Please don't support the guy who's going around telling everyone that "thugs" are "black people".

It's racist and racism is bad.

"BIgot"

Also MgoBlaze, …

"BIgot"

Also MgoBlaze, "when someone says thug images of black people pop into my head".

I think maybe you should re…

I think maybe you should re-read this because I'm not insisting on using the word.

I'm just pointing out who's really trying hard to cover up their own personal racism with personal attacks and projection.

And, TBH, the last time I heard the word "thug" used in normal conversation off of the internet it was a black man describing a us naval ship crew.

Ahhhh, truth time.

It's…

Ahhhh, truth time.

It's because you can't.

Because you know its true.

Because YOU are the racist.

You have NO response.

You're not going to move the goal posts on me and I'm not going to pointlessly quote merriam-webster for you. I made this point well before you started asking for definitions. You explain why you think of black people when you hear the word thug or I'm just going to assume you're a racist because you think of black people when you hear the word thug.

I don't think of black people when I hear the word thug, ya know, because I dont have an inherent racial bias that tells me that thugs are normally black people. Ya, apparently, do. Why?

Explain why you immediately…

Explain why you immediately think of black people when you hear the word thug.

You've yet to actually…

You've yet to actually respond to the fact that when you hear the word "thug" you immediately think of black people".

Lets examine why you, as a person, when you hear the word thug, the first thing that pops into your head is "black people".

I want to talk about that, you've really went out of your way to avoid talking about that. Why is that?

Ironic considering you're…

Ironic considering you're the one who thinks of black people when they hear the word thug.

You can keep projecting all you what but it's not going to change that you're the racist one here.

If your mind immediately…

If your mind immediately goes to "black people" when you hear the word thug then you're a racist.

There's no "L" for me to take because I'm not wrong.

What's the matter, don't…

What's the matter, don't have a real response?

OoooaOOoOoOooh, calling out typos.

Could you at least try not to be blisteringly racist?

"The English language is not…

"The English language is not short of words, shouldn’t we chose one that doesn’t have offensive connotations? "

Those are your personal connotations. Thug doesnt mean "black people" to me, the person who posted it explained that it didn't mean "black people" to them.

Maybe people on here who immediately think of black people when they hear the word thug need to look at why their personal connotations are immediately racist.

"The feelings of racists do…

"The feelings of racists do not and will not matter to me. Cry about it. "

Your the one whos mind…

Your the one whos mind immediately goes to black people when you read the word thug.

And its YOUR inherent racial…

And its YOUR inherent racial biases that make you think of black people when you hear the word "thug".

Racist.

The people you are referring…

The people you are referring to think the word "thug" means "black people".

Just think about that for a minute.

You're the one who…

You're the one who immediately thinks of black people when someone says thug.

There are a LOT of secretly…

A bunch of people here are quietly admitting that when they hear the word "thug" they immediately think of "black people"

You're just wrong.

You're just wrong.

"Tell me you have no clue…

"Tell me you have no clue what racism is without telling me you have no clue what racism is. "

Ok, go immediately read YOUR post before this.

This is a bad response and…

This is a bad response and you should feel bad for typing it.

IDK, seems suspect.

That's…

IDK, seems suspect.

That's a bit like saying, "don't worry, we washed all the hydrogen out of your glass of water."

"I've said it in another…

"I've said it in another thread, but tonight's experience only reinforces it: I'm done with MSU. On average, they are not people, they are fucking animals..."

I honestly don't think this is a sparty thing. I think people many in general are trending toward violence atm.

I eat out too frequently. It…

I eat out too frequently. It's not uncommon that eating out gets baked into our weekly meal plans. We arent always excited about dinner or our available options. So we had to set some new rules, this doesnt apply to things like "date night" or whatever.

1) If you arent hungry enough to pick a restaurant then you arent hungry enough to bug me to pick a restaurant. - No asking "where do you want to go?" or "What do you want to do for dinner?"

2) When you are hungry enough to pick a restaurant, then you say, "I'm hungry, are you? Id like to go here"

3) If you don't want to go to that particular restaurant you can sit your ass at home or suggest another restaurant.

"Lastly, you'd be shocked by…

"Lastly, you'd be shocked by the number of physicians that build themselves up by tearing others down"

Unless you've ever had a job, then you'll realize it's just business as usual basically everywhere.

Also,

One of the last big…

Also,

One of the last big major media events that involved Michigan included an injured player and student protests that resulted in the firing of the AD and Head Coach.

So, like, this is a real thing Michigan is very much concerned about.

As someone from KY I'm not…

As someone from KY I'm not sure Louisville fans will show out any better. Ya gotta understand, people are hurting, several hundred to multiple thousands of dollars to go watch your team get walloped by Michigan in what is almost a guaranteed loss isn't most normal peoples idea of a good time.

I love love LOVE that…

I love love LOVE that Nebraska came into the B1G talking like they were going to completely OWN it.

They have been a fucking doormat since the first season. They brought home their proverbial son and he ruined his career and made them even worse.

Frost and Nebraska deserved every bit of it.

Furthermore, this is the closest TN has gotten in a long time. Is it a bit of M retribution that a QB injury derailed their season?

A lot of M's biggest enemies over the last few decades have had a rough time of it this year.

This has definitely been a "revenge year", but more in a Karmic sense. Would love to see some Karma on that Broyles award come around in a few weeks.

So not #1?

So not #1?

"(who was ranked no. 1 at…

"(who was ranked no. 1 at the time.)"

You've been around long enough to know that this is a meaningless stat.

There are things that work…

There are things that work against the 53rd ranked defense that arent going to work against a top 3 defense. You have to play perfect against Michigan to stand a chance, it's why everyone crumbles in the second half after Michigan weathers the storm.

I'm not saying TCU isn't going to be a fight, it likely will be, those kids are battle tested.

I just don't think their winning combination is going to be a good combination against Michigan.

Klatt has penchant of seeing…

Klatt has penchant of seeing one thing happening one time and running with a frequently false narrative that you get sick of hearing after the 10th or 15th time he's brought it up.

But I notice a lot of blatantly false reports or information out of the announcers in a lot of these games.

You can really see exactly how the money in this league gets sucked right to the top and because of it there is virtually zero quality control at any level beyond the facade.

Yes, loved him at first,…

Yes, loved him at first, still do really.

But when he's amped up he'll be at 100 for way too long. Sometimes I just need him to quiet down and talk like a normal person. We don't need to be yelling about anything on the field on 1st down run for 4 yards.

I wish transferring players…

I wish transferring players didn't take public pot-shots at programs they know wont be able to respond with any kind of truth.

Completely and 100% agree.

Completely and 100% agree.

If there was a truth that painted Michigan in a bad Light but not EA then EA would've tweeted the truth. He didn't, likely because the truth either isn't a big deal or doesnt paint him in a good light.

Saying, "They did something shitty, just take my word for it, it's bad", comes off as petty and childish. Especially against a massive public facing organization that isn't going to be able to respond in kind.
