He would be buried in the depth chart here, possibly getting redshirted.

And the only other time he's gone over 100 yards this year was against Central Michigan.

I mentioned the same thing in the Coaching Snowflakes thread.
Higdon was great today, lowered his shoulder and was always falling forward and fighting for extra yards.
Dillon is a horse, would be nice to have him on the roster if we are going to run 80% of the time.

He wasn't pushed out, he wanted a chance at RB and the coaches wanted him at LB. So he went to BC< who said he'd only be RB. Good for him on a great game!

Definitely encouraging. IU isn't that bad of a run defense. Are we possibly seeing the beginning of Stanfordization?

They gave O'Korn a bunch of time on a number of snaps as well. He just didn't do shit with it.
I'm driving to Ann Arbor to see if I can loan Speight a few vertabrae.

I would rather you lend Peters a commanding voice and lets see what he can do.

The PA pass where he tried to hit Crawford downfield in double coverage saw Gentry breaking wiiiiide open to the left. Probably would've been a TD but OKorn had no clue. Dude is a bad QB or is so paralyzed out there that he can't even think about scanning the field

Still can't grind out first downs to ice games when a pretty solid defense knows what's coming, but they weren't a tire fire, which is progress.

We kicked ass in most of the gap blocking stuff today. Good to see two OL coaches (and Drev is the gap guy) paying off. Hopefully the calls for Drev's head die down. His OL is coming around and many of the misses in the air are on the QB not the play call. We have issues on offense but the OL isn't one of them and I don't think the playcalling is (usually) either.

Evans had a tough day but the other three backs (Higdon, Isaac and Walker) combined for 246 yards on 33 carries.

1. He was able to break those two big runs because of the OL
2. Even if you take those two runs out he has 116 yards on 23 carries (5ypc). Still a great game and our leading rusher.
I'm not sure what your agenda here is. Higdon ran well, the OL opened up many holes for him, and Isaac. We ran for over 6ypc as a team and nearly 300 yards. There's not much up for debate here.
October 14th, 2017 at 5:33 PM ^
Even if we take Higdon's two long touchdowns out, our four running backs gained 167 yards on 39 carries (4.3 YPC). That's still quite good for an average without the two best plays included. Especially coming on a day where we couldn't pass at all.

I feel bad for him. He's a hard working kid and a good player. I feel like every time he got the ball there were zero holes and lots of penetration. It's been like that all year.
Higdon is definately faster and gets through the hole quicker, but Evans generally has better vision and shiftyness. They both have good qualities, hopefully they can put it all together and keep the rushing ball going.

We ran for over 270 yards and over 6 ypc against the 22nd S&P defense. Not sure what to tell you if that doesn't impress you.

Yes. When you put up 271 rushing yards against a team that knows you can't throw, you deserve appreciation. My kingdom for a quarterback.
