Someone has to create this thread; I guess I'll do it.

OSU is still not good.

Can't run, can't stop the run.  We should roll them.

PSU has a Franklin problem.  They are built to challenge us, but that moron continues self dong punch.

I think we’ve learned what we need to know:

1) Penn State prefers to run because they can’t pass

2) It works a bit against OSU

3) OSU has Marvin Harrison and that’s it

Have to say that the hype around Allar is just that - hype, without any substance.  No time to throw, and when he does get a minute, the throws are wildly off target.  That 2nd down throw was a TD if JJ is throwing it, but Allar put it unquestionably uncatchable over heads.

Should stick with the runs, OSU seems pretty soft up the middle - susceptible to duo!

Pretty much where I am at.

The one difference is I think OSU's D-line is stronger up the middle than it was last year. But that relative improvement doesn't compensate for what they lost with Stroud.

On the PSU side, they seem like the same team but with no Clifford

Sophomore

Statistically impressive against bad opponents

Inaccurate when receivers have close coverage

Doesn’t yet have the instincts to adjust when the first read isn’t there

Offense bogs down for long periods and the running game is affected by teams that don’t respect the pass

Am I describing sophomore Drew Allar or sophomore John Navarre?

Be prepared for a lot of bend don't break from Minter.

OSUs OL is the weak point and he rushing game is suspect...I'd bet $1 that we are just going to rush 4 and play pass defense.

There are going to be A LOT of "fucks" in that thread.

Yeah, McCord and Allar sure feel like the same guy.  With Allar you've got a 2nd-year guy so I'll give him more of a pass than McCord, who's been in college as long as McCarthy and was ranked higher.
