OSU is going to make PSU throw. We will see how well Allar does. If PSU can't run decent they will be in trouble. Not looking good for PSU
October 21st, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
Both QBs look terrible. The main difference in the game is Harrison. Take him away and OSU would be an 8-4 team.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:38 PM ^
lol they wouldn't be 8-4. Stop.
But they would easily be 10-2.
Take him away...and you basically get Penn St.
The B1G isn't deep enough for either team to be 8-4.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:40 PM ^
You could make a case without him they would have lost to Notre Dame, Maryland, PSU and us. That's...8-4.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:48 PM ^
You can make a case that your mom with a dick is your dad...but that's just as ridiculous as it sounds.
OSU has enough talent to roll out of bed and beat everyone in the league except the top tier teams.
Maryland isn't a top tier team. I'll give you ND, I was thinking conference teams. 9-3.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:44 PM ^
Right about the Big Ten, though IMO, OSU loses to Maryland, Michigan, and PSU without Harrison. Also, ND, and though he was covered well, he still pulled extra attention allowing others to make plays.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
So far, I'm not impressed by OSU or Penn State.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
Sack while being held from behind.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
Run the ball Penn state.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:39 PM ^
They really can't. They've got talented guys and I think they'd do well behind a UM offensive line but at PSU they're just wasted.
Edit: And as I say that they pull off 2 nice runs.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
I don't think there is a huge difference between McCord and Allar...both average. One has Harrison, the other does not.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:38 PM ^
better plays to run too. psu's offense is...offensive
October 21st, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
This OSU offensive line has let up way too much pressure already. If there's one part of these teams I really worry about it's the PSU pass rush/defense.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:37 PM ^
McCord isn't very mobile
October 21st, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
True, but McCarthy running for his life also isn't optimal even if it doesn't end in a sack.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:59 PM ^
He's a statue
October 21st, 2023 at 12:38 PM ^
Our RB blocking will be better. Our TEs are far better. That needs to work for us. Hopefully...
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
Yeah, I think UM is overall a better blocking unit but PSU's defensive pressure is a step up from anything they've seen this year.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:37 PM ^
Nice block by OSU RB. Tuff
October 21st, 2023 at 12:37 PM ^
Ohio State sucks too
October 21st, 2023 at 12:37 PM ^
Let's take another commercial after 2 minutes of football.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:37 PM ^
psu offense looks terrible. They're gonna need turnovers to stay in this - at least as it appears so far.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:37 PM ^
These are 2 mid offenses. But we knew that coming in
October 21st, 2023 at 12:39 PM ^
Travis Kelce was really annoying before Taylor Swift. Now he’s off the charts.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:40 PM ^
I'm interested to see what PSU does with Harrison, because Michigan will be in a similar situation.
Do we shadow him with Johnson (Kalen King) or do we put Wallace and Paige (PSU #2 CB + S) on him and ask Johnson to take Egbuka away?
October 21st, 2023 at 12:51 PM ^
I imagine we'll blitz the shit outta McCord from every angle and play a lot of zone
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
Can't wait to play them both
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
PSU finally showing they learned something from the osu-ND game.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
The secret is out (if it ever was a secret), double Harrison and Ohio State's offense turns into a limp dick.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
They didn't double him once on that last possession. They put King on him and had him follow him around on that series. They're switching it up.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
So Allar is not tearing them up and they still let PSU rip off two huge runs.
Soooooooffffffffttttttt
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
These holes the OSU defense is putting up....even I could run through those.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
They should never pass again . . .
October 21st, 2023 at 12:50 PM ^
"These holes the OSU defense is putting up....even I could run through those. "
Me too, and I'm 71 years old (but still in good shape).
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
Frames is terrible.
Just run it. Go full 2021 UM - OSU.
Why ever pass?
October 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
Watching Allar throw and OSU defend the run...calling another pass play this game would be malpractice by Penn State, right?
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
ok! enough w the pathetic passing psu - run the damn ball
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
Also should have been illegal procedure.
EDIT: Stunned they got it right. And they'd better call it right when M plays these two.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
OSU getting gashed on the ground.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
I know the answer is that we're rooting for Penn State because fuck Ohio, but does this game matter for us at all in terms of chances for winning the conference if we go 1-1 against these two?
October 21st, 2023 at 12:44 PM ^
Short answer: No.
Slightly longer answer, all of us splitting probably means PSU goes to the BTT. But if Iowa goes down the drain, then in theory it could come down to who wins more, Wisconsin or Nebraska. We're rooting for Nebraska, otherwise OSU would go over us.
So really, we have to win all our games. Period the end.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:44 PM ^
We will be out based on the tie-breaker rules (Big Ten West opponents' records). We have to win them both.
October 21st, 2023 at 2:59 PM ^
I think that there is at least a chance that PSU could choke away a game that they should not lose (say @ Maryland) while I don't think OSU is going to lose to anyone but PSU or Michigan. So, I want OSU to beat PSU, PSU to "Frames" away a game they should not and Michigan to beat OSU in Ann Arbor.
Thus, PSU would have two conference losses while UM and OSU would have one each (UM to PSU and OSU to UM). This would result in the tiebreaker just being between OSU and UM which UM would win.
I think this is UM's best chance to win the Big Ten assuming that the Big Three all go 1-1 against one another.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
Frames, you are a moron
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
OSU looking as tuff as a titmouse right now . . .
October 21st, 2023 at 12:42 PM ^
PSU rips off two good runs, so of course Frames decides to outsmart himself and calls two straight passes.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
And then a 3rd and 13 run for a decent but totally insufficient gain.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:45 PM ^
They've shown no ability to pass, so I couldn't disagree with that one. It made the FG more manageable.
But they never should have been in 3rd and 13.
October 21st, 2023 at 12:48 PM ^
it wouldve worked if the outside WR didnt wiff on his block
October 21st, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
Not even play-action either.
