It’s so weird to feel like nothing has changed. I thought Harbaugh would end all of this. It feels like 2014 all over again. The boards are angry, we least to MSU again, OSU is battering teams and we’re expecting the worst form PSU. Sad thing is we’re still 5-1 and you couldn’t tell the difference if we were 1-5. I just want to enjoy football without all the negative about we can win this and haven’t won that and Harbaugh is leaving us. I love football but it is so negative anymore that I have a hard time looking forward to it. This coming from a fan of almost 40 years.

Until we are destroying teams we should beat...that will never happen. Look at OSU and Bama. Until we are just hanging 50+ on people...you'll feel like this. We can deal with close games against top 25 teams. Everyone else...we feel we should manhandle. Whether that is reasonable or not is another discussion.

That said...get used to it. Cause we're staring 8 wins in the face. Rutgers and Maryland. Then most likely Minnesota, maybe a lucky game against Wisconsin. Like I've said. Our defense playing the best game we've seen since @PSU '97 is our only hope.

Anyway, this year is very '96. If the '96 team could have scored like, at all, they are right there with the best of Cooper's teams for the Big Ten and maybe a national title. As we saw the next year when we had a respectable offense.

Another reason to play Peters. We need a respectable offense because the defense should still be lights out with 9 starters back. You could see how one could exist with a QB, Newsome and Black's returns, development from the young guards, and Ruiz panning out.

This isn't 2014. We've already won as many games in half a season as we did in all of that year.

Harbaugh has raised the bar so high that we have a 5-1 team that will be ranked in the top 15 tomorrow, despite having the youngest roster in the country, and much of the fanbase is unhappy.

Both can be partially right. This offense is VERY 2014. No question. The difference is the defense. They didn't have this defense. But it definitely feels like the UConn year where were uglied our way to victories early until our true colors were exposed. I just don't think this defense will allow it to be a repeat of that year.
