NFL Divisional Playoffs: T B Buccaneers @ OUR DETROIT LIONS

[Thread originally titled: "OT: NFL Sunday Divisional games - discussion"; changed to reflect the fact that the MGoBoard membership overwhelmingly consists of Detroit Lions fans  ---rob f]

Two divisional NFL games today.   The Lions host Tampa Bay at 3:00 pm with the winner heading to SF for the Conference Championship next weekend.   And, tonight - KC visits Buffalo with the winner heading to Baltimore.

The Packers collapse yesterday means this is the last game at Ford Field for the Lions this season.

Thoughts - reactions - perspectives?

GO LIONS!

Time to bite off some kneecaps!  LFG Lions!  WOOOO!

How can the Bucs possibly win if they have no kneecaps?  They will be unable to stand up, let alone run or block anyone.  This is a foolproof plan.

Go Lions!

Go Bills.

Fuck the Chiefs and the entire burgeoning Mahomes-Kelce Kardashian-esque media obsession.

Hoping for a Lions/Bills Super Bowl - with a Lions win of course.

i am not taking the bucs for granted, but i still think the rams are better than the bucs and we handled the rams business.

also, the bucs had to travel and have had one less day of rest, which sometimes can make a difference.

ford field is l-o-o-o-u-u-u-d-d-d-d.   the said they recorded it at 133 decibels last week.

After seeing the Lions win a playoff game last week. Everything else is house money to me, in my eyes. Win or Lose, a hell of a season. That being typed.. GO LIONS! Beat the BUCS! GO HONOLULU BLUE!

Stop with the house money BS

They have a home game vs a 9 win regular season team who has a journeyman QB.

Same attitude as "I just want to win v Bama and eff the NC game, it's all house money"

Their schedule changes dramatically next year vs a load of tougher teams, #2 seed dropped out this year giving Lions a 2nd home game and they are as healthy as any team in the history of playoffs.  They could lose Goff to season ending injury at any time next year.

No guarantee this ever happens again.  Fuck the house money.  Win tonight and go to SF and it's 50/50 to get to their first SB in most of Lions fans life.

I’ve live in/around both Detroit and Baltimore.  I think the fans are very similar in terms of demographics.  Yes, Baltimore has had a better run over the past few decades, in terms of football, but the fan bases are gritty and largely blue collar.  Buffalo is similar, but I would love to see a Lions Ravens Super Bowl.

For as much as college football on TV gets (deservedly) criticized --- the NFL has done a better job in recent years.

This game - first 3 possessions, that involved a punt, turnover and score, 6:30 in game play - NO commercials!
