NFL Divisional Playoffs: T B Buccaneers @ OUR DETROIT LIONS
[Thread originally titled: "OT: NFL Sunday Divisional games - discussion"; changed to reflect the fact that the MGoBoard membership overwhelmingly consists of Detroit Lions fans ---rob f]
Two divisional NFL games today. The Lions host Tampa Bay at 3:00 pm with the winner heading to SF for the Conference Championship next weekend. And, tonight - KC visits Buffalo with the winner heading to Baltimore.
The Packers collapse yesterday means this is the last game at Ford Field for the Lions this season.
Thoughts - reactions - perspectives?
GO LIONS!

I understand the aggressiveness, but I hate taking the ball when you have one of the best crowds all year and taking the air out of the place as while they're quiet for the offense.
Nice pick. Goff needs to settle down and stop throwing off his back foot.

I'm worried that we have shaky Goff today

Surprisingly awful run defense so far.

Evans hands are trash.

So sad Okudah was a bust. Him as a CB1 with Sutton as CB2 would have been a game changer for this team. Fucking Bucknuts.

CB1 and DE2 in free agency and/or draft - changes everything. Have a ton of other pieces on the defense otherwise.

Branch with a much needed SACK

Glenn dialing up the blitz at right times so far

This defense is gonna keep the Lions in the game.

Goff hasn’t been his indoor/home field sharp. I hope he gets it together
January 21st, 2024 at 3:34 PM ^
Wish we would use Gibbs or Jamo in the slot like they do Palmer.
Tampa has a fast defense. Need to either counter with our fastest guys or start pulling out the frippery.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:34 PM ^
Receivers need to get open quicker.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:35 PM ^
Hope Ben Johnson wasn’t more worried about his interview than his game plan this week.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:37 PM ^
Nice dime by Goff there.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:37 PM ^
Ok, this is indoor/home field Goff !
January 21st, 2024 at 3:37 PM ^
O-Line is doing their job!
January 21st, 2024 at 3:38 PM ^
Is it only me, or is Collinsworth even more annoying than usual?
January 21st, 2024 at 3:39 PM ^
It's not just you, it's me too
January 21st, 2024 at 3:45 PM ^
And turn the volume down some more.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:42 PM ^
I like him. I get some people find his voice whiny, but he's much easier on the ears than Romo, who always sounds like a giddy schoolgirl.

Hate the fade. Amon Ra too short for fade

LFG
GREAT PROTECTION!
January 21st, 2024 at 3:40 PM ^
Yes, more of that! 5 wideouts, easy TD!
January 21st, 2024 at 3:40 PM ^
Yes!!! Thats what we are looking for!
January 21st, 2024 at 3:40 PM ^
Great drive by the Lions.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:41 PM ^
C’mon D, let’s make it Sack Time!
January 21st, 2024 at 3:41 PM ^
Goff with some great zip on that drive.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:42 PM ^
Weird Craig Reynolds was in there while Montgomery and Gibbs were on the bench.

Great drive by our Lions! I think we can and should run the ball more, but getting 7 on the drive, can’t complain too much

Why is Hutch not in?
sorry, he’s back
January 21st, 2024 at 3:46 PM ^
More to the point, why is he not in on any tackles?
January 21st, 2024 at 3:45 PM ^
I wonder why Hutch didn’t say Michigan when introducing himself on TV but said Divine Child HS. Thought maybe because he didn’t graduate from UM, but he did.
Thoughts?

Half these guys are talking their elementary schools or middle schools. Guy bleeds blue cmon.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:48 PM ^
Yea, kinda disappointing as far as I’m concerned.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:58 PM ^
who cares
January 21st, 2024 at 3:48 PM ^
He's probably emphasizing his local roots.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:52 PM ^
Yea, that’s what my wife said. I kinda get it, but then again, University of Michigan IS basically local.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:58 PM ^
Said it last week. They pre-record those all for the networks in one media day during the pre-season. The high school shoutout appears to be what Hutch went with for NBC.
January 21st, 2024 at 5:37 PM ^
OK but doesn’t change the fact he went to UM.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:46 PM ^
One of the best refs in Lions history (thus far) lol
January 21st, 2024 at 3:48 PM ^
A whole bunch of make-up calls for years of tom-foolery?
January 21st, 2024 at 3:47 PM ^
Better start tackling boys

Don't see Amon-Ra drop many of those.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:56 PM ^
Come on St. Brown, the best players have to play best in the playoffs. Bad drop there.
January 21st, 2024 at 3:56 PM ^
Ugh drops
