MSU injury update
I think their injury woes are a bit overblown. Yes, they have some injuries like they do every year vs Michigan (might want to revamp your strength and conditioning program), but I’ve heard some Spartan fans act like half their team is missing. They released their depth chart and they have most of the guys they have had all season.
On the OL they list Higby or Arcurri at left tackle. Higby is a multi year starter. Reid at RT who is a multi year starter. Bueter at center who has started games the past 2 seasons, and guards are Carrick and Campbell. Campbell is a multi year starter and Carrick has started a few this year.
They are without Stewart, who i believe is very overrated anyway and Dotson the TE. Seybert the other tight end has played more anyway and has more catches and TDs than Dotson.
On defense they are missing Bachie, but Noah Harvey had a big game replacing him vs Illinois. I don’t think Joe Bachie is some can’t miss pro prospect. He’s another guy in a long list of Spartan LBs who was a low rated recruit that racks up stats due to their aggressive nature on D. I’m sure there is a drop off to Harvey, but it doesn’t cripple them.
Point is, don’t take the bait and feel bad that they are the walking wounded. They have plenty of guys who have experience and have played a lot of football.

I don't think anyone around here is feeling bad for MSU.
November 12th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
Nor should they. But the narrative is already beginning to spin that MSU is without all their good players. They still have players.
November 12th, 2019 at 1:58 PM ^
We would still beat them with all of their team healthy.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:06 PM ^
That's always MSU's narrative. Whether it's football or basketball. Izzo is the perpetual, woe is me guy, with regard to injuries. He just did that shit after the Kentucky game.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:29 PM ^
Who cares what their narrative is? No one gives a fuck why they suck, they just do.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:04 PM ^
I care.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:36 PM ^
I'm sure this post will help sway their opinion.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:42 PM ^
Players who couldn’t keep a lead against Illinois.
I don’t know any Michigan fan who thinks that Sparty isn’t going to put effort into this game. But some people here are acting as if Dantonio has some super secret power playbook kept just for Michigan, and the truth of it is that he doesn’t. But starter injuries are usually more bad than good, and let’s not forget that they also have players entering the transfer portal as well.
November 12th, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
The only narrative I’ve heard is that they suck ass.
November 12th, 2019 at 5:48 PM ^
How “good” players did they really have anyway? The cupboard wasn’t really that full.
November 12th, 2019 at 11:37 PM ^
They have 88 players like everyone else
November 14th, 2019 at 1:15 AM ^
Pics to prove?
Where’s the MOO U Look-A-Like Thread?
November 12th, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
Run the score up.... go for two and end that game with a firm shake.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:40 PM ^
Yes, the Harbaugh 'Death Grip' to send Morty into retirement.
November 12th, 2019 at 6:08 PM ^
Who the fuck feels bad for them?
November 12th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
I think taking the "juice" speaks a lot as to ABILITY. haha
Go Blue!
November 12th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
i watch a decent amount of MSU because my wife went there, and stewart is not overrated. he is really good.
November 12th, 2019 at 3:14 PM ^
He’s at least good. Aaron Burbridge he is not, however.
November 12th, 2019 at 1:57 PM ^
Someone should check Harvey for PEDs too, dude looked like a carbon copy of Bachie.
November 12th, 2019 at 1:58 PM ^
I don’t know. After he made a TFL he flexed and I wasn’t very impressed. He probably didn’t get the starters rations of PED’s.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:14 PM ^
I’d bet Bachie and Willekes are injection buddies.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:49 PM ^
And Frey before them, do you remember his angry post?
November 12th, 2019 at 2:51 PM ^
Oh in the entire inbred Bulloughs
November 12th, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
This is a traditional East Lansing coping mechanism. They've used it as long as I can remember during years when they know we're kicking their asses.
I say let them have it. What else do they have in life other than genital herpes?
November 12th, 2019 at 2:09 PM ^
This here. And when we win the game by X points, they'll say "Michigan only beat us by X points. HAHAHA!"
Just get out of there with the win. As we know, the alternative sucks.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:06 PM ^
Dude, they are beat to shit. Idk if you're just trying to feed them respek, concern trolling, or just a secret Spartan, but you've been doing a weird amount of MSU flag-waving this week.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:16 PM ^
I'd say he was doing the opposite of MSU flag waving. He was saying that they aren't that beat up so when UM beats them the injury excuse is BS.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:22 PM ^
Flag-waving doesn't have to be positive. I'm just saying that I find it odd how much he's posting and creating long board posts on the state of their program this week, and I happen to think a lot of his spin is wrong. MSU is objectively banged up right now. Stewart, is not overrated and they are not fine without him as he insinuated in another thread - he's their leading receiver and Lewerke's favorite target by far.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:28 PM ^
So by trying to cut off an excuse before it happens that makes me a secret Spartan? That makes a lot of sense.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:43 PM ^
I said that I don't know what your angle is, just that the amount of bad-yet-long analysis you've been doing this week is strange.
November 12th, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
But he keyed in on the "secret Spartan" angle.
Very telling.
November 12th, 2019 at 3:08 PM ^
Hit dog will holler
November 12th, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
They started four true freshman against Illinois with two on the OL. They have serious injury and depth issues.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Roger that. I didn't notice the other threads.
November 12th, 2019 at 7:58 PM ^
I welcome posts like the OP, they’re informative and give a good platform start for a reasonable discussion on what we’re here for
November 12th, 2019 at 2:14 PM ^
I think TK is an idiot. Stewart is very good (we'd take him) and Bachie can play. That being said...why in the hell is TK so concerned with the narrative? Insecurity issues at home? Probably.
Here's the answer: WIN THE GAME
November 12th, 2019 at 2:25 PM ^
Do you have no other life than posting on this board 24/7?
November 12th, 2019 at 2:29 PM ^
I don't care if their kicker is playing LT. Just destroy them and move on!
GO BLUE!!
November 12th, 2019 at 2:46 PM ^
He’s another guy in a long list of Spartan LBs who was a low rated recruit that racks up stats due to their aggressive nature on D.
I wonder what gives them that aggressive nature.
November 12th, 2019 at 5:10 PM ^
They've also been complaining about back acne a lot, too weird!
November 12th, 2019 at 2:47 PM ^
So they won't be playing a bunch of weird guys?
November 12th, 2019 at 2:56 PM ^
Did we win?
November 12th, 2019 at 2:56 PM ^
I’m cautiously optimistic of a comfortable win now
November 12th, 2019 at 3:12 PM ^
Man, reading this thread is probably very similar to what OSU threads look like about playing us every year.
November 12th, 2019 at 3:23 PM ^
1. Do not care who Sparty puts on the field.
2. Do what we do, x 1000, but add throwing to Nico.
3. Beat Sparty like a rented mule.
4. ???
5. Profit.
November 12th, 2019 at 3:54 PM ^
Don't be fooled. MSU is in full Red Lock release mode. Get out of jail free for all Spartans whether healthy or not. Loading up on the PEDs for maximum performance
November 12th, 2019 at 4:06 PM ^
This is bad analysis. Stewart is a good WR.
Bachie is a fantastic lb. He is an AA caliber player.
The or means there is uncertainty about whether he plays. Not ideal.
November 12th, 2019 at 4:28 PM ^
Good thing you didn't list Lewerke here, because, of course, he's not concussed. (wink - wink)
November 12th, 2019 at 4:33 PM ^
Who cares what their situation is. Stomp out the last breath of air that shitty program has left in it. Go for two because you can’t go for three. Leave no doubt. Strike first, strike hard, no mercy.
