More bad news coming?

Insider boards (Balas mainly) are buzzing that there’s more damning evidence to drop

Fuuuuuccckkk all of this

Are we still getting bent out of shape over behavior that would be legal and fine if video was posted online by fans? Has everyone lost perspective on the trivial nature of the alleged infraction, even if the worst case picture is true?

Not just if video was posted online, but — correct me if I've missed something — would have been/was unquestionably 100% legal if Stalions was already doing it when he first worked with the program on a volunteer basis.

You know, hindsight is 20/20, but I can honestly see a path where it's plenty reasonable for Stalions to have believed he was operating in a valid loophole, which would explain his apparent brazenness.

Without divulging specifically what is being said on the ON3 boards, reading tea leaves it sounds like this is either:

1- Something new that we don't know.. ie. a coach or coordinator knew about it

2- Evidence of Stallions actually at a game

IMO, it always seemed unlikely that literally NO ONE knew.  I do not think Harbaugh or the coordinators knew, but other low level staffers? Interns? I bet someone did.  People talk and Stallions seems like someone to brag based on some of his leaked texts.

With regards to whether Stallions attended games personally or not, I know a lot of Michigan fans were holding out hope that he didn't, but if he did, and no coaches knew about it, I am not sure how much it moves the dial?

To be clear, this is just my opinion based on the vibe coming from Balas.  Not something he explicitly said or even implied.  I just don't know what else would cause him to be so doom and gloom all of a sudden.

Sigh.. We will see..

So what I'm getting is big ten has more evidence given to them, but originally past evidence was given to the ncaa?

Why would this be?  Why not go to the ncaa with new evidence.  Smells fishy.

Also Connor resigned, wasn't fired.  If it were bad evidence, wouldn't they have fired him?

lol any evidence would be nice. I can almost guarantee it’s nowhere near damning though. Even that would be welcome because this has been infuriating. They cheated, let’s a summarily judge. Any proof? Nahhh

It sounds like they are rolling with the "he should have known" card.  Which... fine I guess?  Hard to argue that.  At this point, I am just happy to hear it seems like the worst that will happen is Harbaugh gets suspended and the team can still play.  If you could tell me we could suspend Harbaugh and make the story go away and I can stop doom scrolling twitter, I would accept that deal lmao.

This probably won’t be well received around here, but if he refuses to take any modicum of responsibility, that comes off as kind of lame.  He is the head coach after all. THAT SAID, the degree of responsibility he takes shouldn’t equate to significant suspension or firing. But accepting a degree of responsibility for not better monitoring staff and a brief suspension seems like a happy medium that  hopefully puts some of this to rest for now.  Just my two cents and I realize there may be implications from a PR or investigation standpoint that would lead to accepting no responsibility as the “better” option.

Other than an image of someone purported to be the SpyMaster on CMU’s sideline, which has not been proven either way yet, there’s been nothing submitted to the public other than allegations.

Purdue’s coach claims there’s evidence tickets were purchased…well…put it oit to the public. What games? Were the tickets scanned at the gate? Who was there?

Generally speaking, people react without everything being presented. If an until that happens, may the rest of the B1G be shut out.

One thing I find odd is if they have overwhelming evidence, why would they not conclude their investigation and openly say what's up? Why would Ono still say no to suspending him if you have such evidence? Why would the B1G not suspend him if you have evidence that cannot be questioned?

It just seems odd that there's so much talk about how awful Harbaugh and Michigan is, but there doesn't seem to be any leaks of this overwhelming evidence and the conference isn't openly saying what happened.

Sam says the Big Ten doesn’t just want him suspended “they want his head”. Didn’t say anything about new evidence and did say Michigan still isn’t conceding.

I think Pettiti and the Big Ten are playing with fire honestly. This sort of trial by mob could sour Michigan to the Big Ten and as much as we’re usually a unified group, theres realistically 2-4 athletic departments carrying this whole league. Michigan could up and leave and the whole league would crumble

2 departments - OSU and Michigan - carry the conference. Take one away and the conference withers. The PAC-12 additions don’t do squat. Without Michigan, those four teams are trading mediocre PAC-12 teams for mediocre Big Ten teams plus OSU. That formula didn’t bring riches or sustainability to the PAC-12 and now every athletic department in the new Big Ten just ballooned their budgets for a formula that won’t bring in another big contract without Michigan. The Big Ten commissioner is definitely playing with fire and that’s an understatement. He better pray that Nebraska returns to glory under Rhule.
