This is why we shouldn't play MSU for a while....

When the thought "I hope they don't injure our players on purpose" ranks right up there with "let's win", MSU needs to be off the schedule for a few years.

East Lansing weird night-game juju and all, I don't think that helps keep this one competitive. Hopefully a Michigan early lead and coast to victory limits some of the emotion and dirtiness.

Hopefully, we have about 1/3rd or more UM fans. Plus, play disciplined. Don't get sucked into their late hits by retaliating. Just do what we did to strangle Minny and put them away so that the place is vacant, minus UM fans when we have a 5 TD lead and Tuttle is playing.

This game should not be played at night, but unfortunately TV money trumps everything with game scheduling.  Get the W and get out of there healthy, boys!  Much bigger things ahead!

I just wish it was with different broadcasters.  Eagle is alright but nowhere near as good as his dad (Ian).  Blackledge is mediocre at best IMO.  I know it's always easy to neg on announcers, but he didn't enlighten anything about a play, just 'nice block here' or 'great run' - no schematics.  He also at one point said something to the effect of 'Michigan rounding back into form' and I said outloud WTF this isn't 3 years ago - UM has been steamrolling people for 2 straight years now.

Blackledge is who I'm often thinking about when I grouse about typical sportscasters who act like they are privy to mysteries of football that their audience could never comprehend. The kind who will say "watch this block by the right guard" every time there's a big run to the right regardless of what kind of block the RG had or how well it went. Or claim nobody was open every time a QB sacks himself and there's a guy wide open.

After 4 games in a row at Spartan stadium, this will break my streak.  Just got back from my one night away game at Minnesota.  So I'll settle back with a nice bottle of Eagle Rare and toast every touchdown with a shot.  This game might be problematic for binge drinking in that case,  so I'll have to figure out a backup plan for the second half most likely.  GO BLUE!!

I was planning to go to this game -- my first ever Spartan Stadium experience -- but between logistics challenges, the likelihood of lousy weather, and the expectation of having to deal with Sparties who are already drunk four hours before kickoff, I think I'd rather stay home.

The Big Ten has sold its soul to television.

And I don't hate night games in general -- in fact, I went to Saturday's game in Minneapolis and I enjoyed it quite a bit.  But this game -- a game that I fundamentally believe shouldn't be played -- should be in the noon time slot until Staee learns how to behave like civilized adults.

They just had the tunnel incident last season and so they choose a night game to be sure everybody is boozed up before kickoff. At a notorious party school with a history of bad behavior. Alright. Seems like a questionable decision because if something does happen that's what people are going to say in hindsight.

I reconsidered after deciding to not attend the game after the ticket prices dropped. So im taking wifey to the game as we are visiting Michigan that weekend and its our only change to see the good guys play. East landfill isn’t my favorite place but cant pass up seeing JJ and the gang. Go Blue!
