Pretty trivial between Clemson/Michigan. Clearly if Michigan runs the table they jump Clemson, and even that's not for 4th spot. That's for 3rd at worst.

5 ? What a joke. Clemson sucks and osu hasn't done anything more than we have. I would say our win over Maryland is far better than their win over Notre dame. And we destroyed psu and osu barely won that game.

I think Michigan would obliterate Clemson.

Michigan has chances to move up even before The Game, if they look good enough especially vs. Illinois.

As we all knew, a lot will hinge upon The Game.

Top 3 games by SP+

Clemson - at Wake Forest (34) in 2 OT, vs. NC State (43) by 10, vs. Syracuse (48) by 6

Michigan - vs Penn State (15) by 24, vs. Maryland (26) by 7, at Iowa (31) by 13

So by SP+ Michigan has played 3 teams better than Clemson's best opponent and they handled those teams better than Clemson.

You can see how they're trying to position 3 SEC teams if Clemson loses with Alabama #6.  Bama is legitimately 2 plays away from being a 3-loss team.  But sure, let's reward them for being good in past seasons.

Clemson is whatever; they are the best of a bad conference and at this point they're just lining up to be thumped by 14-21 by anyone else in the top 6.

I'm sure there was some discussion about how bad it would look if there were two SEC teams and two B1G teams in the top four, so that probably led them to flip Michigan and Clemson.

Will it take being shutout of the CFP for WM and JH to change our OOC scheduling?

(Yes, I know we have Tex and OK on the schedules, but I'm not convinced they stay on)

Uh, COVID had nothing to do with the UCLA cancellation. We canceled it in October 2019.

We canceled it because we wanted more home games for money, and you can also argue that we canceled it because of the committee. We scheduled it in the first place because when the playoff started, strength of schedule was said to be taken into strong consideration more than overall record, and they've proven time and again that that's not the case.

Ahh…. Figured it out why the ACC teams were ranked high/valued that put Clemson up over us. Boo Corrigan is NC State AD 🤦🏻‍♂️ Isn’t Warde on the panel?

Not a big deal.  Just keep winning and everything will be taken care of.  Each team controls their own fate.  10RC better enjoy this year because Hooker and Heupel will be gone next year.

Doesn't matter at all if we win out.

If we lose to OSU, we join the gaggle of 1-loss teams clambering for a spot should one of the four* unbeatens fall.  That's when everything gets a lot more interesting.

(Georgia plays Tennessee and we play OSU so we're down to 4 one way or another).

Honestly top ten LSU might be the most insane thing on that list.  Lost to Florida State and tried very hard to lose to that garbage Auburn team but couldn't.  Tennessee blew them out.

Get ready for the loser of the Georgia/Tennessee game to make the playoffs *despite* not being in their conference championship game but the loser of UM/OSU to not make it *because* of not being in their conference championship game
