Per twitter. Love the Noon games.

At least we're not on FOX. I will never watch a game on FOX unless Michigan is playing. Absolutely awful experience. And I like Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt. I think they're a great pairing. But the game flow is just miserable.

A lot of that has to do with the game being at noon.  It has all the ads of a primetime or 3:30 game at noon.  During 3:30 games (for those not at the games) you are kind of getting dinner ready, firing the grill up, having some beers, doing some yard-work, etc., so you don't mind the stoppages as much.  At noon you are doing nothing other than watching the game and "OMG just hurry up!" that it is hard to enjoy.

tl;dr - noon actually does really suck.

Fall was best for both sides of the family. My family has to travel down south and her brother and father run a tennis academy and her brother is a city director of tennis so spring and summer are totally booked up for him. I was ok with it cause she let me pick what weekend.

As a cross country coach, this means I'll be missing the first half of yet another game. Of course, this year that means I haven't missed much.

I missed the complete Army game and the Wisconsin game was 28-0 before I got home, so I didn't watch that. And we were up 21-0 on Rutgers last week, so that game was basically over.

Ugh...  Noon games suck - my least favorite time slot.  Right smack in the middle of the day - not enough time to do anything before or after the game.  You just sit there, through the best part of an afternoon, slogging through commercial breaks while the rest of the day's warm-up games are going on.  If you do need to get the wife out to a store, or whatever, doing so after a noon game means that you miss all of the (mostly better) 3:30 games.

I get that Michigan plays a lot of warm-up games, like against Illinois.  So fine, noon for Ill, etc...  But I need Harbaugh and Manual to change their tunes about 3:30 and 7:30 kicks.

me too.  may be good for tv watchers but they suck for people who actually go to the games.  you have to rush to set up tailgaiting only to enjoy it for maybe an hour or so.  then you have to rush and tear it all down.  and it's actually 11am for us going to the IL game.

I'll throw some sacrilege onto the fire:

I have watched MAYBE six or seven games live in the last decade or so. I just can't stand watching the games and all the stoppages. Plus I get so tense, it's 3-plus hours of elevated blood pressure.

I have YouTube TV now, and it just automatically tapes my MI games. I come in right around when the second half is kicking off, start watching from the beginning, skipping 15 secs forward between plays and eliminating commercial breaks.

It's glorious.

This is like as good of a place to ask this is there anywhere else – what is the thinking on the kick off time for ND?  I know it won’t be announced for a few weeks but we are flying out for the game and just wanted to get everyone’s best guesses. Thanks.

Love the noon games.  Was hoping it would be on BTN or FS1 though.  Getting through a season without Disney's horribly shitty, self-aggrandizing, focus-tested-on-retarded-adolescents coverage would have been nice.  Hopefully we'll get one of the two or three PxP guys who actually belongs in the booth.

Well since we are all giving their two cents....

  • Noon Game: I like it when I'm at the game. I live in columbus, OH so for noon games when I go I leave at 4am tailgate from 7am to gametime and home in columbus by 7:30pm or so.
  • 3:30 game: Prefer it when I'm not at the game. Things to do with the kiddo and the house in the AM, can start a bonfire by 1pm and tailgate/drink/cornhole through the game and the night.

Whatever...doesn't matter that much lol.
