Nah. I loved it. It plays to their stereotype of villain and lowlifeness. Adds to the rivalry and The Game. It pissed me off to see it, and it brings the players together. It's that kind of thing that can unify when it's needed, and can backfire. Worked for Dantonio after that ill said Hart little brother comment.
Hart's comments were playful at worst. Dantonio then made fun of Hart's height, which was far more offensive, but that's been forgotten (and Hart's comments remembered) because MSU won the next year.
This stuff is just media fodder. The series didn't turn because of what Hart said. It turned because our program fell off a cliff and everyone started beating us. Rich Rodriguez went 6-18 in Big Ten play.
I was there and it was disgusting. They just swarmed over the few kids who were holding up the banner. Surprised no one was seriously injured. Since then, we've beefed up banner security by adding a lot more bodies out there.
But it's them, and it adds to their reputation, like Woody punching the player.
I'm glad Harbuagh is unapologetic about this, it was a cathartic win at OSU after so many years and deserves to be commenorated and celebrated.
That said, in general I think planting spikes and flags, or tearing down banners, or epic double birds or beating people up in the tunnel, or locking arms to push a player off the field tends to be poor sportsmanship and in some (MSU) cases criminal. Let your play do the talking.
Oh, and BTW, get off my lawn!

It's funny seeing OSU fans get bent out of shape about it. It was one of the biggest rivalry games ever and maybe the biggest road win in the series. And as noted, they hand out lame little gold pants every time they win. Our big flag we planted on your field is way cooler

I think it's ok for Buckeye fans to be salty. I mean, it's all they have.
My first feeling when I read this was a pretty uneasy one thinking this will be bulletin board material but then I started remembering all the smack talk OSU has made to us throughout the last decade and quickly realized that did not make any difference in bulletin board material for us. Let the kids have fun and make memories for the future prospects showing how much we have dominated them the last two years. Go Blue!
They spent all 2022-2023 offseason after 42-27 talking about toughness, bulletin board material, etc., then proceeded to lose by an extra TD at home (45-23).
They are soft, it’s the culture. If they beat us it won’t be because they suddenly have bulletin board material or a cathartic culture change based on bulletin board material.
I completely agree. I do think Harbaugh knows he has a pretty big toughness edge right now.

In 2016 I had to walk out of the horseshoe to "we just made Michigan our bitch-again" and knowing we've beat their ass two years in a row after them fielding extremely good teams is so satisfying.
Klatt opened the 2021 game with "the Buckeyes can score points... in bunches" and then Michigan proceeded to score points... in bunches. After Corum got hurt I almost didn't watch the game this past season - typical BPONE, but jesus christ... the sons of bitches got bitch slapped in the stadium coated in maize and blue flowers.
