March Madness Day Two
Day two of March Madness is underway! Florida Atlantic leads Northwestern, 20-19, at halftime. Some great basketball is being played there... Baylor leads Colgate by 10 points early.
The biggest story from yesterday was of course Oakland beating Kentucky. Also somewhat interestingly, huge amounts of people seem to think Oakland is located in California, not in Michigan...
What games are you looking forward to today? What will the upsets be?
While I didn't super appreciate my basketball being interrupted with some celebrity gossip (which was not her call), I don't really understand this comment.

Definitely don't like the hero-ball by Buie. Also don't like the play stoppage with NW on the break.
On replay, it didn't look like NW was really pushing it up court. But now I'm not a fan of the flagrant 1. Seemed totally incidental.

I pretty much hate replay for a lot of reasons. One of them is the illogic that a blatant missed call only matters when the game is under a minute, apparently.
And a 4-5 point swing in a now tie game is a true game changer.
This game is quite enlightening, following the CSU game, in showing that there are not good options out there.
Buie hero-ball is killing NW late.

No change of possession, clock resets to 20 after an offensive rebound or offense retains possession.
Northwestern might actually blow this and.....I am at peace with this possibility.

The officiating in this NW game is…something else. Also, just from the few minutes I’ve seeb, Bouie is still a disaster factory.
He'd been clutch until the last 3-4 minutes.
Chase Audige was the MGoAnnointed disaster factory. Buie is a decent ball player. It goes without saying that he would be our best player.

If a guy goes down and stays down acting like #50 did on FAU, to the point they stop a transition play, I dont understand how he's allowed to stay in the game or Fau isn't forced to take a timeout ?
He is allowed to try and take his free throws…if he was hurt on a non-foul play, he would’ve had to come out of the game.
