The lockers convert in to a place to take a nap.

Does each locker come stuffed with $250,000 in unmarked bills, or is that only for some players?
No. Most of that is still done via airboat.
Sad thing is, despite all the "perks and bonuses" they still can't manage to get a quarterback worth a damn.
That does not make me sad.
Yeah I won’t be losing any sleep over this
Very true, but Burrows is pretty damn good
Until Cajun Hoke’d
Meh, he’s okay. Passer rating 133, sub 60% completion, sub 8 ypa, decent legs. Best QB they’ve had in a minute, but he would have been 5th or 6th best QB in the Big Ten last year.
Hoping Burrows has a great year, much better than the year Fields has. Would love to watch the second guessing from the Buckeye fans.
In this case they would have to have FBI find indisputable evidence. Then punishments would be dealt with swiftly. In some cases even before the accused passed away of old age.
That locker room combined with under-the-table handouts will help recruiting.
EDIT: See comment above.
Only if they also have iPads at every locker, which is a thing that appeals to da utes
Lots of cubby holes for bag men to hide cash
lol, isn't LSU (the university) nearly insolvent?
I’m sure their football program isn’t.
Yes, it's disgusting the money donors and boosters will put into sports while the school basically goes bankrupt. Not uncommon 'round here, most public schools in LA are half portable buildings but have nice sports facilities.
Can’t they just sleep in perhaps a bed?
No, if they went to their dorm / apartment they might be tempted to pick up a textbook. So they set up “beds” in the locker room to be able to monitor them and make sure they are focused on football and that they aren’t playing school. I’m sure there is a rule that they must spend at least 6-8 hours per day in the locker room “resting”.
Sleep in a BED?? Don’t be ludicrous.
Everyone knows the only proper way to sleep is in a converta-bed-chair.
A bed...the people on this board sometimes.
Looks like the most unique feature is the chair-to-bed function. As a light sleeper, I can not IMAGINE being able to sleep in a locker room. Maybe they will all have headphones on as I can't see a 180 lb. DB yelling,"Hey, turn down those tunes! I need a nap!" to a 320 lb. lineman.
Just seems like overthinking and overengineering. I get that these guys work their asses off and have long, tiring days, but why not just build a nap room with 30 bunk beds if naps are now recognized as a must-have while at the team facility?
no doubt. or just buy a hundred air loungers and players can throw them down wherever to sleep. we used to sleep on the position room floor or in training room between camp periods so those wouldve been pretty sweet.
theres good reason for the saying "it smells like a locker room"...i wouldnt want to nap in a foul locker room no matter the modern aesthetics
Beds? This is some kind of cheat to get around the 20 hours max football time.
Very nice. Michigan badly needs to update their game day locker room at the stadium.
LSU got lockers, Michigan got this:
That's not for the football team, that's the south campus complex for non revenue sports.
You are either one dumb motherfucker, or absolutely irredeemable. Either way, you're a cancer.
Feel free to educate yourself walmarter.

Why this account of yours still exists is beyond me. Is everyone on vacation today?
For our negging pleasure.
I thought the tweet read "Selling the Standard" at first.
Where's the bag man atm
Lol. Who the hell wants to sleep in a locker room? Why not just have separate mini hotel rooms.
It is just one of those things so that the "engineers" (must be real hard to come up with a smaller futon) and AD can tell themselves they are being innovative. The players will use the beds a lot for about a week and then you will hardly ever see it used again.
Still won’t help them beat Alabama.
How long after taking a nap in one of those futon-chairs are the players going to ask each other "Do we need this shit?"
All it will take is one riot to have the place looking like the average LSU fan's mancave.
.."take a quick nap before class."
.."take a quick nap DURING class." There, I fixed it.
Pretty dope locker room.
IMO, those lockers got designed out of some group think BS. That, and an effort to be "different." Waste of money and time so LSU can recruit players who'd rather take a nap.
I wonder if they asked the actual "student-athletes" if any of that ugly futon stuff would be at all useful (other than free iPads and device charging).
i'll just skip watching the video and assume there are juice box and string cheese dispensers that pop open after each nap.
This looks dumb to me, but I'm not a student athlete.
Looking like a waiting room for a hospital or something, not gonna lie..
The exterior is midlevel La Quinta. . . which I guess makes sense since there's a lot of emphasis on sleeping.
They're going to start taking recruits as young as three, wrap them in cocoons, and just let them do the Sleeping Beauty thing till they're 17. Those that don't pan out will be left in the toxic rivers and swamps there around Red Stick.
I'm no rocket scientist and certainly will never be confused for Chase Pitner - Project Designer, HNTB Architecture... but I have done a decent amount of sitting in my day.
Does anything about those bench/day beds look comfortable to you? They look like some wooden boxes with cushions on top. And when the three cushions are not in use they stack up behind. Those vinyl looking padded "cushions" look like they have very little give. I dunno man, I can imagine myself trying to be comfortable on one of those and never pulling it off.
That said, thank god for the ventilated shoe box! Why keep the smell in when you can share it with everyone?
