financial records investigated. I would never have believed it before but with all of the corruption surrounding this program and the sport in general this is not a stretch. Edit: I am not sure how anyone can neg bomber the fact that we should have covered LH better before half. Once he hit the 1st 3 everyone should have known.

4 army buddies into UM fans that march. We watched every game in my garage, shitfaced and screaming. They each had their own favorite player from UM. It Was such an amazing run. To get fucked out of being rightfully crowned the champs by not only the refs but a dirty ass program as well is maddening. Pitino took something from us. Thank god that cheating piece of shit changed his mind or whatever, I could not imagine having someone like that represent UM. Thank the gods for John Beilein......

Fuck Louisville

Fuck the NCAA

Can’t wait for the FBI to blow the doors off college basketball....

The block was clean, but I may be in the minority here: no banner should be hung.

Louisville may have used some slimeball recruiting tactics to get the guys it did, but they weren't juicing before the game. They didn't spike Michigan's gatorade bottles to make the team sick before the game. There was no unfair ON-COURT advantage that they had over Michigan. They were just the better team that night.

Not by much, and a call here or there may have swung the title to Michigan. But it is what it is. There's no guarantee that we would've won even if the foul wasn't called on Burke's block. We were still down by at least three at that point if memory serves.

Pitino is a scumbag, and I will curse Luke Hancock's name for the rest of my days. But they were just better that night.

So does Rick Pitino write "vacated" under or through his tattoo?!?!

Michigan is the Champs.  Hang the banner, get the team their rings, make a statement!

to the father of a 5 star recruit.  Interesting.  i bet that's not an isolated event at Louisville.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in the Olympics, a silver medalist can retroactively get the gold if the gold medalist is stripped of the medal due to doping or some other disqualifying event after the fact.

So, I would like to see that applied here.

Coach B continues to be the model that all programs should aspire to; especially with some imminent FBI justice.  It is great to be a program that people respect for the right reasons.  With him taking the high road like today on the show, it just increases people's respect of him and our program.  Everything comes to light in the end.  When you lead with character, you have nothing to be afraid of.  I am proud of that 2013 team; losing that game to a cheating institution with a dirty head coach and some very terrible reffing will always hurt.  But that UM team was special and always will be!  (TB consensus national POY, unforegettable shot against Kansas, etc.)  How fitting that just 4 yrs later, Coach B handed Rick Pitino a loss in his final game coaching ever.  And then 1 year after that, the national championship is taken away by the NCAA.  Also, we have to love that Coach B has more impeccable character then Dantonio yet he will not say something like, "The righteous shall prevail, and pride comes before the fall".  Message to Dantonio: actions speak louder than words.  This is another great day to be a Michigan Wolverine.  We don't need the default banner; we win them on the court and we win them the right way.

I think I get it that if Louisville is vacated, it doesn't mean Michigan are national champs, but it's also not correct we are runner-up since then semantically, to whom? would it not be more accurate to have say a banner which states for example "Top Finisher (or team or whatever) NCAA National Championship 20xx"?

I totally respect and love Beilein’s classy response to this news, but I heard this point, and it is a good one: If UCF can claim a national championship in football this year, why can’t we do that with this? We have the better argument anyway. I fully support the idea of hanging a banner-sized picture of the block.

So the polls should reflect that Michigan is the #1 team in the country at the end of the 2013 season.  Michigan may not be able to claim the NCAA tournament championship but the team could claim a National Title and it would not be inaccurate.
