Also glad we got dicked around until pretty much any transfer worth a fuck has went elsewhere. Now we have an extra scholarship and nobody to give it to.

Need to try and get back in with Kristian Lander, if possible. He was wanting to reclassify to the 20 class and we thought we were full. He was interested in Michigan.

People saying Todd deleted his commitment video from his IG

I swear if we (Howard Michigan) got played by these two 5 star buddies Im gonna be pissed. It feels like Christopher led Howard on. If Todd now decommits.....wtf

Well if Todd ends up sticking to his commitment, Howard would have had a very good class. Just the the amazing class we hoped for. Also pretty sure tons of sports recruit well considering Michigan has one of the most successful athletic departments in the country.

What a total dick move by Christopher.  Normally, I would give a player the benefit of the doubt.  But it's pretty obvious that he gave Michigan every reason to believe he was coming and Michigan made several roster moves to open up a spot for him. Then he dicks Michigan over at the last minute. Now, Michigan has lost their expected starting PG to transfer and has an open unfilled roster spot with most other options closed now. Well, I guess it's good Michigan didn't get this kid given how he played them. That's a sign of immaturity and a lack of class and/or character.  There's a right way and wrong way to do things.  Stringing a school along until the last minute, giving them the impression that you're coming, so that they make several moves which hurt the school and other players is the wrong way.  Anybody who is giving him a pass is ignoring the negative impact on others.

But we still have a great class if we can keep it together.  And maybe there will actually be a  basketball season this year.

That’s why I don’t get excited about a kid until he actually signs his letter of intent. We have been burned so many times by these young kids.

If there is one thing Michigan knows, deep in it’s bones, it’s how to finish as a bridesmaid for those true top recruits, and never a bride.

Best of luck to Christopher, I’m sure he did what he felt was best. But how that old saying goes, the more things change.....

Gut Punch!!!...and yes I still think he’s a very talented player. He could’ve changed our fortunes greatly for next year. Now you have to wonder if Todd will follow through on his commitment now.

If I were Josh Christopher’s parents and saw that one of the major epicenters of COVID is right in Ann Arbor’s backyard, I would be telling him to reconsider where he is playing too.  ASU just makes sense for that reason.  I mean Christopher is just using the basketball season as an NBA tryout anyway, so why not play with his brother close to home?  There’s a good possibility there won’t be a college basketball season, so this is all a moot point.

No Michigan fan who’s been paying attention to recruiting in the major sports over the last 20 years should be remotely surprised by this. We lead the nation in finishing second.

I know it doesn't work this way, but if I had a choice between a senior season for Livers or only one season of Christopher, I would choose Livers every time.

I disagree...we know what Livers is, Christopher brings star power and a chance to elevate the program to higher heights with his dribbling and penetration ability. We needed an infusion of athleticism on this squad and Christopher would’ve brought that in spades. Livers can spot up and play decent defense, but who can you confidently say that we have that can break down a defense next season and create for themselves or others?

I followed Livers his whole career and have an affinity for him. I'd feel the same about Derrick Walton or MAAR.

As to your question as to whom would help us more in a basketball sense for next year only- I think the answer is open to debate, and reasonable minds can differ.

I guess here’s to hoping that Franz can space things and get to the cup to open things up for Livers. Wouldn’t be upset to see Brooks learn how to penetrate either, but my assumption is Franz will do most of the attacking of the lane while we have people like Livers and Brooks spot up and work the ball inside to Davis and Dickenson. Hopefully we see Todd and Williams making a splash next year too. It will also be interesting to see how long it takes Zeb to get up and running. Curious if the learning curve under Juwan will be the same as it was under JB for PG. That would make basically any freshman PG useless for at least half a season.

Why does everyone think he led Michigan on? Because crystal balls? He never made one comment to anybody. Reporting fail if anything.

Can’t believe Brian wanted to fast forward through sr year X and Teske to watch Mike Smith, Eli, and Austin Davis as starters next year.

I was starting to get a little upset about this kid's decision when my boss walked past my desk. He's a Nebraska fan. It made me realize there are only a few fan bases who are positioned like Michigan's fan base. Our consternation is whether another top 50 player is coming in. Most other teams would be happy to be in the top 10 of one of those players.

We are truly blessed to have Juwan Howard as Michigan's coach.

I don’t wish him well at ASU.  I don’t wish him anything, good or bad.  His existence, happiness, sadness, etc is now irrelevant to me.  I’ll save my wishes, thank you.

Fans suck for giving high school athletes this much interest.  If COVID-19 was good for one thing, it might be for sake of placing sports into proper perspective.

In the case of this particular recruiting class, of what difference for 1+dones with an interrupted or non-existent season.  And regardless, move along.

One thing is for certain, the University of Michigan will remain a vital institution regardless of what transpires in the world of D1 athletics.

And this is why I literally could give 2 shits about recruiting - in any sport.

Damned if we do, damned if we dont.
