That's kind of my whole point. I'm over celebrating recruiting classes. We always beat MSU in recruiting, but lately can't beat them on the field. Sure, whatever we were selling was obviously more appealing than whatever Dantonio was selling. Jay pointing that out doesn't mean anything to me. It isn't productive. And as we have seen, winning recruiting doesn't always translate to success on the field.

What's so bad about my post history? You guys make me seem like I'm a troll just because I acknowldege that MSU is good and I'm not a complete homer, which I guess is what all UM fans are supposed to be now that we hired Harbaugh.

I just looked at my post history, and although I have had a negative attitude often I have also:

-Defended Beilein when some idiot said he would rather trade him for Crean.

-Called out an obvious MSU troll for his bullshit

-Tried to settle folks down who were getting worried about FSU getting Kareem Walker

-Created the thread about Cook snatching his award from Archie

-Talked about how I would love to hear the crowd show some love for Blake after the MSU game.

So disagree with me all you want, but don't act like I'm some kind of troll or MSU fan. I just have a different viewpoint compared to most fans here. I used to be optimistic. Not anymore. I'm just concerned with results now.

Dantonio''s dig was directed. MSU tried to flip Onwenu at the end and was negative recruiting with Hill too. That stuff matters a lot and don't tell me we have to wait 3 years to see if this class pans out. The only reason it was even this close is that MSU locked up some guys early where they had a big head start in building relationships. They are going to be very hard pressed to top this class.

If there's one guy in CFB that deserves to have his words thrown back in his face, it's Dantonio. We'll shut him up on the field soon enough.

Dantonio's quote was implying that they could recruit better than Michigan because they were selling Results instead of Hope.  Michigan just outrecruited Michigan State, so in essense we just did "win" within the context.  Jay's not saying we beat State, Jay's saying we can sell our programs to recruits better than State can even if we don't have as much recent success to point to.

I guess I missed that. Maybe you inferred it. Yeah, I think that's it.

Dantonio's quote implied facts: MSU has been more successful on the field lately than Michigan. That's a fact, Whether MSU draws in better classes because of it is a separate question, and one that Dantonio was silent on.

Nice to see Dantonio still living in your heads over here.

When Mike Dantoni was talking that shit it was about recruiting (selling recruits on results) not winning that game. So after Jimmy and Co. wiped the floor up with his ass in this years recruiting Jay was simply asking. How did selling (recruits) results work out for you? Paraphrased. Obviously recruits answered him with the University of Michigan has been selling results since Mike was in high school. Not to mention Jim Harbaugh and co.are a far better bet to come out on top of Staee in the long run. If it wasn.t for the Ohio recruits flocking to Urban Myer like he was handing out free cars, I would dare to say Michigan would have wiped up the floor with OSU out recruiting them too!

Too make sure everyone doesn't get all disrespekt'd, isn't every program selling hope to a recruit? I mean, they are not going to go back and play those games again so the recruit can be part of the results.

Take the high road. Dantonio is going to say what he's going to say--at the end of the day, they were in the semifinals and we were playing in the Citrus Bowl. We are selling hope right now, albeit very promising-looking hope. They're in the position to sell results. We'll see what happens on the field next year when they won't need a flukey botched punt to win.

In short, step away from the twitter--it's the worst medium for talking shit.
