these aren't histrionics. I think many have legitimate concerns about Jim's ability to coach. how does Mel Tucker come in, in a year like this, with a roster like theirs, and beat us? I will tell you how, he coached better last week. and maybe the week before that. what happened yesterday is unacceptable. some drastic improvements will have to happen quickly if we're going to win more than 3 games this season.
Good riddance. Ginger was an asshole. I've been drumming for over 35 years. He was a very good drummer, but Mitch Mitchell made more of a contribution to the instrument. I reject the premise of measuring a man's life by his contribution to a field of endeavor. We're here for more than that.
He played in 2 games this season and had 1 solo tackle. 3 tackles total. I wish him the best, but it doesn't much matter how talented you are when you can't get on field due to injury.
Just because you hope for it, doesn't make it so....just like rival fan bases and national media telling us how we should feel about Harbaugh. Those voices just want to see him out of AA before he gets rolling.
He's pretty much said he only knows 1 way to coach. I think what we've seen is what we'll get. Dominate inferior opponents, get torched by teams with better athletes. I hope he proves me wrong.
This, 100%. I think the more pressing question should be replacing Don Brown. I really like the passion and the fire he has brought to the locker room, but OC's have figured out how to pick his defense apart. You only need average talent and some clever play calls to tear it up. Northwestern did it. Indiana did it. Then the apocalypse happened yesterday with elite talent and OC game planning.
Mork is now 31-19 since Harbaugh came to Michigan. We are 38-12 in that same time frame. Two programs clearly going in different directions. That's why I so enjoyed the win in East Lansing. That was some seismic shit, restoring order in the B1G. Now on to Columbus to do more of the same. GO BLUE
Maryland hung 51 points on them. We will be able to run on them, we will be able to pressure Haskins. We've been very successful in games with this dynamic. May be close, but I like our chances, especially in the 2nd half. We've been finishing strong all season.
I dig FauxMo too. Like others here, I have checked out of day to day politics. I have enough to deal with in my immediate sphere. I come here to get away from that, so good on FauxMo for timing himself out.
The thing that pops out to me is how lanky he still looks, and not in a bad way. He can likely put another 30 pounds on his frame and stay just as athletic. Amazing.
I think it would come down to ND or us out in that situation. Pretty sure Georgia won't beat Bama though. Watched the LSU/Alabama game last night. Good Lord.
Indeed. This team seems extremely focused. I think there is a very obvious difference between we as fans looking ahead and the players or coaches looking ahead. Our looking ahead has no bearing on the outcome of the games, the players coaches is of course a different story. GO BLUE!
I was thinking the same thing. I really hoped the o line would be coming together more quickly. We absolutely need a bonafide RB coach, like say someone who has actually played the position. With the talent and depth we have at the position we should be averaging at least 150 yards per game.
but a thought occurred to me today. We are in a golden age of Big Ten football. Look at the top 25. I don't recall a time when the conference has been as strong, top to bottom. Bo had to deal with Woody. Harbaugh has to deal with Meyer, DAntonio, Franklin and Chryst. Sure, there were seasons when other teams made runs, but these programs and coaches are becoming perennial successes. I am not making excuses, there are a multitude of issues our coaches need to work on, but some perspective may be in order.
But I've been reading painful things since Saturday night. It's like lancing boils to let out the purulence. Hopefully there is some purulence coming out in practice and also in conversations between the coaches. They have some serious work to do if we want to beat Indiana Saturday. I hope they show up determined and pissed off. I haven't seen a whole lot of conviction from this team this season except for latter part of the Purdue game after Speight went down.
Really beginning to wonder what Frey is doing with the o line. They seem to execute about a third of the time, and I haven't really seen any improvement from the beginning of the season. If anything, they may be regressing. Hard to know for sure since the competition is getting tougher.
On both sides. Going to be an interesting game. Purdue may or may not be the biggest challenge Michigan has faced so far. Who really knows? All about who shows up. I sure hope our guys come out guns blazing and set the tone with some tough play in the the trenches and at the point of attack. I truly believe our O-line is capable of playing better than they did last week. We shall see.
Looks like maybe he is referring to his brother? Can't be sure. Maybe he's taking an opportunity to get in a dig without looking 100% like he's actually doing it.
I've been wearing my THERE WILL BE NO HUGS shirt. It's a great conversation starter. I've had more people ask me about that shirt than any other I've ever worn.
I just love the fact that they are all pushing each other and want what's best for the team. Also nice that they have different skill sets. I wouldn't be surprised to see the coaches keep the starter under wraps until the Florida game so they can't game plan defensively.
From the little bit I read, he sounds a lot like Harbaugh. Genuine, not concerned about what people think of him, cares about the kids and is a family guy. Also social media savvy. Welcome aboard. GO BLUE!
I think there will be a difference with our future RB recruits. Our offensive line has been our achilles heel for the past decade. There have been good players to be sure, but as a unit, it has not been an area of strength. Going forward with Greg Frey, I expect the O-line will become a strength, particularly in the run game. We should be able to maximize the potential of our running back recruits and build recruiting momentum at the position. GO BLUE
I can't get this link to post, but check it out. This is a team that is coached to play dirty. That is why I hate MSU. This video showcases their dirty play against Nebraska in 2012. They were penalized 9 times for 100 yards in this game, but from the looks of this video, they got away with alot more. Dirtbags, top to bottom.

If this is turns out to be true, then we won't have sports for a couple of years. It will take at least that long for a vaccine.
They should stay in Michigan and practice instead.

At least he went for an SUV. So many take sports cars instead.

It does suck, but it will create a spot for another great player.
That's my first thought, too. I'd like to see Brandon get some quality reps.
Really like Kurt. Hard worker, loves Michigan. Best regards young man. You will always be a Wolverine. GO BLUE

Hey, at least he/she has some misguided analysis to accompany his/her delusional homerism.
245. Pretty decent seats.

Or maybe you mentioning that it is bad juju, is in fact bad juju.
I got mine on ebay, about 150 per seat. There are lots there, but the prices are starting to go up. GO BLUE!
I love that Ben is carrying on the great tradition of Michigan fullbacks. He will go down in history as one of the best.
Steven Wilson and Rival Sons heavy in the rotation
Jedd Fisch
O-lineman would be just the ticket. A couple of really good tackles would fit the bill until our young guys can fill out and develop.
you never know
of lesser football players. Some of those runs and downfield blocks looked painful for those on the receiving end.
Nicely done, OP. My coworkers and I got some serious laughs out of this this morning.

Beat Purdue. So glad their fan base and players are mouthing off a bit. I think our guys will be good and chippy. GO BLUE

Looks like he is inclined to hurt people
He's afraid he can't beat us full strength, so he can use this as an excuse when they get their asses handed to them Saturday.

That is truly frightening. I have extended family in Rochester whom we visit regularly. Somehow I missed this story.

Awesome to win an in state battle from right under their noses. 2018 class shaping up nicely.
