I get that Juwan is getting the new coach bump in recruiting but the dichotomy between the two programs couldn’t be more stark atm.

I still don’t understand why people were so sure we would beat Ohio State this year.

I also don’t get why the people who are rightly upset that we are clearly below the Ohio State/Bama/Clemson etc tier expect us to beat these teams.  They are better than us yet we are surprised when we lose?

Criticize Harbaugh for not getting us there if you want but part of the problem has been assuming that we were on that level this year.  We weren’t and I don’t know how people looked at this team in the summer and thought this was a playoff team.

Really?  He says Juwan is a great leader and coach (I agree) and then says the football program could take notes.  Who do you think the leader and coach of the football team is?  Why add that unless making the point that the football team does NOT have a great coach and leader.  How could you interpret this as anything but a direct shot at Harbaugh?

I think Juwan is great but he hasn't won anything yet. Kind of bizarre to make this statement right now.

Hmm....that's an interesting point. But you could, potentially argue that Howard's win over #1 Gonzaga, on a neutral court, is better than any win Harbaugh has. Not saying it for sure is (it's still early in the season) but Howard does have that tournament win at Atlantis and some pretty great wins under his belt. To say he hasn't won anything isn't really true IMHO.

It seems like this is a Rorschach test for fans - if you’re mad at Harbaugh, it’s a shot and if you’re not, he’s telling the football guys to stay humble.

Revenge Tour, Higdon guaranteeing a win vs Ohio, Don Brown telling Ohio they better watch out, Harbaugh's "shining moment" quote, Kalis's "blood on the field" quote, Khaleke Hudson saying our talent is better than Ohio weeks after they waxed us.

Our players and some coaches have a REALLY bad habit of saying dumb shit that bites us in the ass. We should never say anything about Ohio unless it's about how much we respect them until we've at least beaten them once
